Northwoods Broadway Jack Review

I have an ivory #15 coming too and i will post pictures in 1 week. There were no individual pictures so i have not seen it yet.
I am not worried by this despite the high price because i have 5(?) Northwoods in ivory and it is all top notch which is not always the case in pocket knives. Sometimes ivory can be a flat white, not interesting and no warm feeling from it. There is also 'ivory' made from ivory saw dust and epoxy. I think this could be the True Ivory Micarta, but the old Westinghouse looks better.

Congrats!! It was meant to be.

That's great Jamie! Should be the ultimate in a #15.

Thanks guys! Not sure about the ultimate, another run of Scouts are coming in August that really have me questioning how many #15's one can really use....

We use real, top shelf ivory.

They are heirloom pieces for sure.

Derrick, i hope my post was not misunderstood. I am saying the Northwoods ivory has to date always been first rate. I have a collection of antique ivory carvings that have been in the family for 100 years now and i believe this helps me assess ivory on knives. I am far from an expert on this substance, but i know the Northwoods ivory is as good as it gets. Keep handling them so your skin oils penetrate and in 30-50 years a lovely yellow-orange will begin to emerge. Rub the ivory where curve of nostril meets face (insider secret !!)

Yes i looked at that one. Plus KSF has 1 posted. I think they have been too busy to get the individual pictures posted but likely everyone of them will be a delight to own.

My picture doesn't capture the depth and beauty of the ivory on my knife, but I can confirm it is of the highest quality.

Edited because after I re-read it I found it a bit harsh. I did not mean to be harsh. For what it's worth, I love the knife.

Lol, well done David! For the record, Derrick didn't come up with that name "bohncliffe" someone else did and he said it made him smile. I know what you're saying about the blade being similar to the Spyderco. If I remember the initial process when the blade was first presented to Derrick by Bill Howard at GEC, there was a different plan in mind by Bill, and Derrick liked what he was seeing and decided to leave the heat treat at the top of the blade, then leave the blade thicker overall with those drawn on rather than cut deeper swedges you find on most Traditionals.
