Northwoods Fremont Jack...Need Comparison Pics.

That is a nice Blue bone! Different from the rest, but very nice! In fact, all three are great knives. Way to go.

My Blue Camel joined the Fremont family.

Thanks Michael. I think I was drawn to that one because it was different from most.

Ours came in today. The blue was darker than most.Yellow man o man ,someone said they had depth ,that would be a good way to describe it.Like you can look down into the center of it.Then the mammoth wow this what I have been wanting in mammoth ,they are all beautiful but this one to me it.I wish I had a way to take pictures.I cant find a thing wrong with any of them. Thanks KSF.

Since you got all 3 flavors, which one is your favorite. I was going to go with yellow but the pics made them all look too bright, now I am having second thoughts...

I'm with you on the Yellow Bone, Jon. Based on owner feedback I'm getting the idea that the photos don't quite capture the true beauty. I believe Derrick also mentioned something about the depth of the coloring. That being said, I would like to see some photos of the Calico Bone and the Yellow Camel Bone side by side from those who have both variations.

I would like to see that too. BTW, Derrick has put a boatload of new mammoth fremonts up on his site. There are some beautiful ones to be had.

It seems that there is little love for the green micarta covers.

When mine arrives next week I'll have some love for them :) I have a Hawthorne and 47 in green micarta, and really like the material. I'm not that big a fan of smooth bone, so the decision was easy. Would have been a harder decision if jigged bone was an option.

Which is my favorite? Now that is a tuff question. You have to say mammoth right,we gave a lot more for them. The yellow isn't as bright as ksf pictures ,not ours any way maybe some light brown mix.I know we really are glad we got one.Surprised they aren't gone.I really think the pictures don't do them justice. They just aren't that yellow.Again I have just seen one in person. My wife got the yellow, but she had better keep her eyes on it it just might end up with my knives.I don't have calico bone so no help there.

Honestly..... I was hesitant in going with the yellow bone, but now that I have it in hand, I am delighted. I think it complements the Burnside Jack very well. A couple of keepers there. :D

Good grief - I'm weakening. The yellow bone is looking better each day.

I compliment you for your correct use of "complement."

Go for it. I think the yellow gives the knife that "old time" feel and charm.

:D And thanks for the compliment.

I received my blue bone Fremont yesterday and I must say that this gem just hit the top of my favorites list.
For me, it is exactly what I was looking for in an EDC knife. I usually like to carry a knife with two blades but since it only has one, I'll probably also drop a smaller clip blade knife in my pocket.
Can't post pics today but will add some next week.
Thank you KSF for producing another run of this unique pattern.

The blade on your knife is discoloring, the poor thing. Some metal polish and elbow grease will fix that.
