Noss Hog will be testing a basic 9

Seems a shame to break an older one like that.

I agree.:grumpy:

Also what is the point of finding out how tough an knife is that is out of production and made from a steel that isn’t used any longer. :confused: :confused: :confused:

TonyG, you could have stopped with "... what is the point?"

For fun. I'd do it, but I don't have a grand to spend on something that I'll destroy in an afternoon. Heck I don't have a grand to spend on anything, period.

But it would still be fun!

While I enjoy seeing a new knife destroyed... why destroy a knife that's been out of production for years and years..... It's like taking a classic car and running it off a cliff just because you can

1) ‘cause I asked Noss if he’d like to bust one of mine up, and he said “Absolutely!”;

2) ‘cause he’d like to see what happens and so would I—and since the Basic line was the only attempt I’m aware of that Busse has made at a mass-distribution marketing program through other retailers, at the lowest price-point for a Busse product we’ve ever seen, there just might be a few thousand other Basic owners out there who would like to see what happens, too;

3) ‘cause I’d like to know once and for all how Modified-INFI stacks up against INFI under controlled destructive testing, before skyrocketing collector prices for Basics makes the prospect untenable;

4) ‘cause it was my knife and I have some more; and finally...

5) 'cause the whole idea just makes me :D:D:D:D:D:D:D ...smile.

I'm slightly curious but I agree, there is no point testing a defunct model after the FFBM test.

If he wanted to test a BATac, ASH-1, SAR-5, SARscuatch, Hell Razor or Jack Hammer I would be more interested, especially the SARscuatch or SAR-5.

AMEN!

You've got a sadistic streak in you. I am slightly misty eyed at the though of seeing one destroyed, but I sure as shootin am planning on watching.

What is the mask for:confused:

Never really heard him say why he wears one. Has he?

I see more consistency in Noss4's activity of late, but not enough to use the word "controlled."

Edited: Kenny, the mask seems kind of silly to me. I exchanged a couple of friendly PMs with Noss4 a while back, but never got a satisfactory answer as to why he wears a mask.
