The White Owl IS a very good choice for Penknife type construction. Some people have complained of blade rub or weak snap, never had that in any of mine at all, great W&T on the one shown . Still questing an elusive Spear version though, thought I'd located one recently but it escaped

Well, thanks again for making them available... even if just for a short time.
I hadn't heard of any problems with White Owls. The two that I have are defect free and as close to perfect as a pocket knife can be. Hang in there with your quest, one will turn up eventually or a GEC re-release may occur.
