NOTABLE PAIRS : Only traditionals

Wow! This really turned into a great thread with some great combinations and beautiful knives. I have enjoyed it immensely!

Ignore the tomahawk. Slipjoints are eminently useful, but there's nothing like a big knife to bring a smile to your face.

Heres a nice pair. The Barlow is my absolute favorite tradional pattern. The knife on bottom is what really opened my eyes to traditionals in general. Im not sure exactly where I got the lower knife, Ive had it for as long as I can remember. I never thought much of it as a kid until about 6 years back or so when I really started getting into knives and I noticed how much I really like it. I put a nice edge on both blades and blued them. This thing takes an amazing edge!

The other Barlow I got at some garage sale or gun show, I dont remember exactly. I actually was going through my closet earlier today and found a few knives that I havent handled in a couple years. This is one of them. I need to take some light steel wool to the surface rust and clean it up and oil it. Ill probably do that tomorrow.

Christian Those 'choppers' make a refreshing change:D

Great to see such variety in the knife-pairings. Here's some Lags at work...

Great pictures as always, Primble. That tanish Backpocket is a stunner. Thanks for staying diligent and not allowing this thread to slip!

Here's a pair of Joel Chamblin's. The WT is ATS-34, The SBJ is CPM-154. Sorry about the crappy photo. There's nothing crappy about the knives though.

Thank you sir - pretty amazing knives you posted.:thumbup:;)

"Gary - I can't remember you ever having a crappy knife!! :D" - Primble

I agree with Primble Gary. I think like your knives, Primbles knives are inversely proportional to his nice pictures.:barf::D Photoshop is his friend! :D
