Sarah, since you have an identical thread running just above this one, I am going to merge them.
 
I'd be afraid that I'd get on, make it to the finals, get home and realize that I don't have enough steel on hand to make what they wanted.

OK, who here has a giant piece of steel in the corner that you're saving just in case you make it on the show and have to make a Claymore?

Paging Daniel Winkler ....History Channel person you should seek out Daniel he doesn't get on forums too much but he makes the seals knives and hawks ,his email is easy to find I have it . He's worked on movies too .
 
I already applied for this show, in season one. Wish I could have been on the rapier episode! :eek::D

Done told 'em that if I make it to the end, I want to forge beta ti into my final weapon, but apparently they aren't havin' it. :grumpy:
 
Lots of great knife makers aren't forgers.
I'm not a great knife maker by any stretch, but I make good knives and have an extensive background in forging....I just ain't into weapons...and that's what sells, sex and blood.
