This is not a bashing thread. But....does anyone else think that his use of "tactical" knives in every one of his videos is a little much? I like "tactical" knives because they have good blade steel and comfortable, stable and grippy G10 handles, not becuase I am thinking about having to use them in a tactical scenario. It annoys me to the brink of almost ignoring his videos just because of his tactical bull. Oh well vent over I just wanted to ask if anyone else thinks he uses the term "tactical" like some girls use the word "like" every other word.:jerkit:

I think he talks way to much and knows way to little.
The way he looks at knives and the use of them is very cleché.
As youtube videos go, his are better then most.
I usually hit mute though.

I believe he was or still is in the military so for his uses he wants a knife to be "tactical". He does occasionally review EDC knives as well so you can watch those.

His knife, gun and gear videos are top-notch. I usually learn something good by watching Nutnfancy's stuff, and I will admit it, I'm a big fan of his stuff.

I don't care about him saying tactical, but I really do not like spending 10 minutes watching a knife review video and not once does he hold the knife in a grip and discuss ergonomics, which to me are one of the most important aspects of an EDC knife. Some videos he'll discuss it, but I've watched a few where he doesn't.

Overall I find myself disagreeing with a lot of his opinions (E.g. wharncliffe's aren't worthless for EDC), but I do enjoy his videos.

I personally think his vids suck. I can't watch them anymore. I watched them for a while but everything is "tactical" (like you say) or "outstanding".

I also agree with Vivi. Sometimes he will talk for like 3 minutes about a knife and not open it and I'm like "dude at least open the thing".

I have to say I'm a nutnfancy fan.. OK, he uses the term 'tactical' alot but then if he is ex military and an LEO then thats the point of view from which he looks at things.
A collector of blades would probably overuse the term 'shiny' :D

At least you know where he's coming from, if you don't like his point of view, don't watch his vids..

I agree with you, OP, but I really like Nutnfancy's vids... I REALLY REALLY wish he would not consider every knife as a murder weapon though... It would be like a bricklayer doinv vids, and talking about his tools being used in SD... well, kinda.

I should just say I like his vids, and I think his insight is true and professional... most of it makes a lot of sense.. I think he is the real deal and is a very active man. Most of his viewers are desk jockeys.. and might mot have too much in common with him. We should embrace our vast similarities and enjoy the vids! ...but feedback it important.

I watch them because in the ten minutes or so that he's talking, you do get some great views of the knife, and can get a feel for how it would handle. If I'm going to buy a knife, I generally try to find a video of it first.

He does say "tactical" a lot though.

TIME OUT

Do you watch Youtube for entertainment (Boredom or whatnot)??....Or....Do you watch for information on a product?

He isn't a paid salesman trying to sell a product so don't bash him for that...

Coletrane811 does some nice knife review videos, and to answer jetsrb32's question most of the time I watch for entertainment but alot of times I'll look for a video of a knife to get a better feel for the knife.

Also maybe some guys are looking for a nice tatical knife, where there jobs requires it.

his videos are a little... i guess over-the-top for my taste (he does have some good reviews though). personally, i like cutlerylover's videos, suits my taste a little better.
peace.

He knows his knives, he just comes across as a dildo. All though I may not agree with everything, I do like his videos.

Also have to add that they are MUCH better than the guy who handles his production knives with rubber gloves on..... breathing real heavy!
