This guy on you tube who im subscribed too has amazing reviews on guns and knives! he has an unbelievable amount of them that he does great reviews on! he also helped me pick out a knife that would be great for me and recommended a website!

Thanks for the link. Many of us here are familiar with the Nutnfancy Project, and we all have our own opinions. I'd really like this thread to not turn into another this-reviewer-is-so-much-better thread, so I'll just say that I support the project and thanks for the link.
 
I'm thankful for his contributions and have found certain gear reviews of his helpful, but I do not find his knife reviews very helpful. He doesn't cover certain key areas in some of them (Ergonomics?) and spends a lot of time on points that don't apply to my knife usage. I don't know anyone else who can make a 10 minute long video review and not once show the knife in a normal, every day using grip.
 
dont like him. the reviews are not good. he basicaly just rants on and on about his so called philisophy. i stoped watching his stuff about a month ago couldn't take much more of it. its so repetitive
 
The way I see it, it takes some balls to put yourself out there on the internet. There are so many people just ready to take pot shots, and you have to question their intentions. Pick a name, any name--Nutnfancy, Lynn Thompson of Cold Steel knives, and the sh&%t will fly.

and it turned into a pretty harsh comparison of YouTube reviewers and even questioned the guy's integrity in a few posts. I know that I certainly couldn't do any better, and I actually enjoy the majority of his videos, whether they're knife / gear reviews or "philosophy".

I'd like it if this stayed a polite discussion and didn't turn into what the other thread did, but I realize that I'm not a Moderator and nobody here is under any obligation to comply with any request I make. There are several good knife reviewers on YouTube. It behooves me right now to try out my new Wetterlings axe; time to chop down the Christmas tree and forget about the Internet for the night :cool:

I subscribed a while ago for his knife reviews. He convinced me to get a Spyderco Caly 3 and I loved it. Then he started doing all these tactical gear and gun crap that I don't care about. Similar to how cutlerylover stopped doing knife reviews and now does guns. Stick with what you're famous for, do some damn knife reviews!

Yes he has his opinions, but we are all grown ups and we can make decisions for ourselves. I appreciate seeing his take on many of the popular knives that are available.

I regretfully started a thread on him and I wish could un-do alot that was said. That being said I actually still watch his videos and take what I can out of them.

When I was a rookie, I made the mistake of starting a "Gerber knives are great!" thread..........ooh that one was hard to get past, it still hurts.:D

I can top that! A million fold! In the Busse forum, they have a joke...

"that looks fake. You may need to send it to me..."

I took it seriously and made a thread.... It was named; Is (members name) Reliable?

THATS a rookie mistake..... :foot:
