Nutnfancy

I like that he considers weight.

A little weight isn't a big deal but I'm so used to carrying knives I don't even feel that I expect to get some real benefits from a knife that will have a noticeable presence.

One thing his critics can't seem to understand is that quite often a knife he is reviewing he doesn't own. He has to do a tabletop review because he can't take the knife out and beat on it without buying it. He's just giving his first impressions and that's the best he can do.

I've found that Nutnfancy does awesome work in his reviews. He takes the time/effort to do the right and as complete as possible. Prior to purchasing any knife I make sure to check and see what his opinion on it is. I do this because every review I've ever watched he seems very un-biased and will tell you honestly with no BS what he thinks of all aspects of knives/guns/gear etc. Without guys like him youtube would be a very boring place. Thanks Nutnfancy!

I'm subscribed and I like watching Nutn's work. It's informative and entertaining, but I definitely don't agree with him on a lot of things; but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what he's doing.

I mean, you've gotta take the bits n' pieces that apply to you. He's a really good source for getting an in-depth look at knives n' stuff, but I don't think he's a guru in any category; be it knives, guns, tactical talk etc.
I feel as if his experience comes more from having reviewed so many items rather than from his MIL/LE background, because watching him use all these things never really impresses me.

He's a guy who has had the cash, interest and free time to do the great job that he does in supplying us with his many reviews, which are very pleasant to watch.
He has a relaxed style and I find him interesting to listen to; so go Nutn!

I like watching Nut'n's vids too. I'm tying to find another person who was posting some pretty destructive tests on knives and I can't remember his screen name for the life of me. It's not Cliff Stamp. This guy was causing some controversy before I lost my 'net service last year and since I'm now a peasant here, I can't perform a search. A little help, please?

Pretty destructive? If very destructive, then you might mean Noss4.

THAT'S IT!!

Thank you, A.L.! I've been bangin' my head on this trying to remember.
I had a complete computer self destruct several months back and lost years of links and info from my work and hobbies.:(
My tech guy, who's been a computer tech since ~1984, said he's never seen such a complete "meltdown". He couldn't even access the thing to glean some semblance of my data with his forensic programs.
So, I'm having to regain those links the old fashioned way. Fortunately, I'm finding a lot of the stuff again.:D This helps a lot.
One good thing that came out of the meltdown is my new computer is not last century's technology and I can actually watch videos. I'm finding a lot of people are doing the knife review thing on youtube. Comes in handy now that I'm in a place where I can start buying knives again.

n_hall,
Thanks go to you too. Never knew about bluntruth4u and just found out he has a youtube channel too. Is now bookmarked for future viewing.:)

Thanks guys!

Don't agree with everything Nutn says, but we're human, who would? I agree with a lot of it. He does do the whole "tactical" thing, but as others have said, he has earned it, and a lot of his audience are police and military. Nothing wrong with civilian preparedness/self-defense either. He puts a lot of work into his videos and I appreciate it. It's free information - hard to complain. I subscribe. It's great to see the integration of video reviews into forum-based information. Gotta love the internet (usually).
