NWA forum knife, ordering etc.

When is the deadline? I Get paid thursday. And i dont have a firesteel, but I would like the pocket for it. What should i do?

Just stick to the scout model firesteel bro. I don't wanna be a pain in the ass. The army model is longer and thicker. Don't worry about it!

I figured I should just have it made for the scout model. Thanks! I could go either way on the forum stamp. I Would like it, but if its to much trouble i could do without.

I like the whole package. One question is the green micarta the same as in the picture? Leather sheath. Sorry I've been following the thread and it appears that there are 3 versions from 2 makers. Any a custom blade like that for $140 ish? I may have a few for sale in a couple of months.

Hey, I thought I'd drop a line about the stamp.

The one I was looking at is just letters and numbers. The $60 I mentioned was actually only 1/2 of the price of the stamp, as I was going to grind off the end, and rework it into a geometric design when this project was done, that way it can be used again, but not as the bladeforums stamp.

I have no qualms about sharing the stamp, other than making sure neither Nick's or my knives have to wait too long to see it.

Ken

All things considered, I was looking at this as a user knife and adding touches like a bladeforums stamp will have me putting this knife in a drawer and not using it. I have enough knives that live in the drawer, so I'd prefer the knife without the stamp. Thanks.

I spoke with my friend and he is going to look into making my stamp for me. The cost should be right around the $60.00 mark.

Bikerider, yep, the Micarta looks the same in person, I didn't doctor the photo in any way. I simply took the shot in my backyard.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys I will start working on these knives straight away.

Nick:)

Nick,
Emails and Paypal deposit sent for one (1) complete package;
- Green Canvas Micarta slabs,
- Leather sheath, right hand,
- Please don't drill tang-lightening holes.
Thanks,
Troop

Paypal deposit sent for one complete package with green micarta and left hand sheath. Emails sent to both Nick and tknife.
Thanks
Jason

Thanks guys. Troop I need to drill some holes in there, as they serve as places for the epoxy to grab, also If I didn't drill holes in the tang it would be very handle heavy. With the holes, it balances perfectly on the index finger.

Nick:)

It is going to have the initials BFSK in a half moon shape with 2007 under the half moon. I'm not sure what font he will be using but I'm confident it will look very nice.

That sounds cool Nick. ras, the stamp isn't to add collector value or anything, just to show that it represents the ideas of an awesome field knife from the people's on this forums point of view. Get it and use the heck out of it and enjoy :)

i don't know how many have ordered direct form Nick, but i have 6 solid guys ordering it on my list so far. If we get it up over 10, the added cost won't be too bad at all.

As long as it's subdued and relatively small that would be okay. Just so it doesn't scream "collectible". Forget what I said in post 28.

Naw, it doesn't sound like it will scream that. It will be one you will love to carry and use though!

 O.K., Nick. I want those slabs staying on there...You 'da Man!
- Thanks

No worries, it will not scream that at all. Like tknife said, it simply states that it was/is a group idea. Size wise it will be very close to my makers mark, and it will resemble my mark, as my buddy made that stamp too. I make my knives to be used, so please, do so.

Nick:)

Thats the whole point Guys. I won't speak for tknife, (who came up with the idea) but we here in W&S USE our knives.... I know it will be a pleasure to use mine;)
