O.K. Bicycle riders lets see your bikes

I have always been a specialized fan they just seem to get better and better.

Xander, all my bikes are around 52 with the exception of the Easton which is a 48 with 650c wheels. It was a custom built frame that has seen its share of professional track events. I imagine the original owner had short legs with a long torso. As you pointed out, it is an interesting frame as it is quite tight up front but slacks up quite a bit towards the rear - like a track bike mullet - business in the front, party in the back. It's currently my wife's bike with a nos suntour coaster brake

Cool! My wife's Vitus I'm building is right around 48 but with 700c wheels stuffed under it, it stretched out a little bit! It should make for a great long ride though. Personally, I like short chainstays and a slightly longer rake/trail up front to slow down the steering a bit. The only other factory frame I've ridden that has similar geometry to my Miyata was a Raleigh track frame from the same era.

I've decided to sell my track wheelset as I just won't get out on the track again, and riding sew ups on the street isn't something I really want to do.

steppinthefunk.....you are an effing ARTIST! Your bikes are simply amazing & beautiful.

Hahaha! Thanks.
I'm lazy, somewhat irresponsible and a bit of a mess but I thank God everyday for my talent in creativity! I'm convinced I would be nothing without it.

Awesome thread and some very cool bicycles here! Great variety. I love pretty much anything with wheels. I was actually considering starting a thread about bicycles and blades, but just saw this so no need!
Steppinthefunk, those are very fun to look at!

I don't have photos of nearly all of my bikes, but here's a few randoms:

Old Ibis MOJO converted to 650B:

EWR OWB (which is now a Dual Slalom bike). Also have an original original, setup as an SS, but no pics.

Old cyclocrosser I rawed out and setup 1x7. Occassionally commute to work on that on backroads.

Old early 90s Parkpre I rawed out and setup SS with some Cook Bros cranks and a White Bros fork (early damping design still works fine!)

Also have a Fat Chance Yo Eddy in 3DV, but not pics on my phone.

Some modern rides too,
Stumpy HT EVO with a Stealth rear hub and Blunt SS rims, etc. Plenty of SpeedHoles in this one.

Just got a 2016 Stumpjumper FSR Carbon 650B, but no pics yet. Still Hotrodding that one for a little road trip coming up.

I used to have a thing for early DW-link

And I always carry a Spyderco Salt Saver with me when on the trail. It is light, will never rust, and does great cutting branches that fall across the trail.

I'm diggin that Parkpre! Did it have the neon green splatter paint scheme originally? I have always been kind of partial to those lesser known 90's brands that were decent quality. I have an Amp F2 fork I'm just waiting to find the right frame to put it on. I had it on a Marin Pine Mountain but swapped it out for a telescopic fork.

Thanks!
Ha no, if it were splatter paint I would have kept it!
It was originally like a transparent'ish blue and gold yellow logos.

And yeah, AMP was quite ahead of their time and outside the box. Their frames were like wet noodles though, haha.

I have a couple of old Girvin/Noleen Crosslink forks as well. And a whole collection of Answer Manitou forks from the Bradbury era, all from original, 2, 3, through 4 and EFC. And a Specialized carbon Future Shock fork from the same era. I've been wanting a Lawill Leader fork, but resale is insane.

And you remember the Marin Nail Trail FS? It was similar to the early Manitou Bradbury frames, and a company called Balance had the telescopic seatstays also...

Yeah, that's some premium stuff! I put a Manitou 2 on the pine mountain before I sold it, it rode much better. I have a late 80's Schwinn MOAB frame, their first Aluminum frame and it sure it a wet noodle! My tires would rub the chain stays on a moderate turn!

I still kick myself for passing on an opportunity to buy Chris Kelly's personal cross bike about 10 years ago. Those Kelly frames were so nice to ride! It was part of his 1995 release back at the San Lorenzo shop.

ha ha sick! I think I owned every single DW*Link IronHorse bikes ever made...Sunday, 6Point, 7Point, Mk, etc... Good old times.

I'm good buds with Dave, so I've always had some of his designs in my stable. Currently have An Evil Uprising (his Delta System), Devinci Troy (Split-Pivot) and Devinci Spartan (Split Pivot). I have quite a few other bikes... :)

My old MKIII - loved this bike

My old 6Point6

Current Troy

current Spartan

^ Awesome!

I had one of the super early Hollowpoints, and just built it up as a play bike (had an NRS as the light bike at the time), and that is what turned me on to Mr. Weagles goodness! Ended up giving the bike away to a friend who moved to CO...

That dark grey MkIII was actually a race frame from Joanna Petterson, who used it for a Dual Slalom bike I believe. That's why the non factory paint and no logos.
It did have a Lyrik 2-step on it before I parted it out. That was a PIke in those pics, and shown at DirtFest in PA.

Converted that Azure to a 76'er and put a 27.5 front wheel on it. Still have it. BB is kind of high on it now though. Super poppy though.

Those Devincis look wild. Never had the opportunity to ride one. Always wished I could justify a Wilson with some gumwalls, haha.

ahhh I know Joanna - I think she's rocking Specialized now.

I wish I could justify another DH bike but trails bikes are so good these days, you don't really need a full on DH bike unless you live near some chairlift assisted resort - like Whistler. I used to hit Whistler up like twice a year but haven't been in a while. I'm due for another trip there.

The Wilson is a sick bike....

These were my last two DH bikes.

Very nice rides! I wish I could build my DH frame up, but I've got other more expensive interests currently. I started building it as a AM bike, then pulled a bunch of stuff off to build an urban assault bike, that bike then got stolen and the DH frame and fork have just been sitting.
