O.T. Scheduled for surgery......Maybe twice.

YVSA,

May you have a safe procedure and a speedy and comfortable recovery.

My best, Yvsa. Don't do a lot of praying these days, but I'll try for you.

And if I'm going to start again, there will be some for Sarge and his kids, and everyone who may go over.

This is hard.

Best of luck to you and your surgeons.
May you heal quickly and completly.

The battle continues. Never give up, never surrender.

Prayers sent and will be ongoing Edutsi!

I hope this gives you some relief from the pain, but I'm damn sorry you have to go through it!:(

You are in our prayers. I want to learn that technique Rusty wants you to teach him! Take care.

Once more into the breech...Prayers, Yvsa.

Munk you may be closer to right than you know!!!! It is close to the breech. I will have a "bikini cut" except it will be across my back instead of the belly.:D

Thanks everyone!!!! All prayers, smoke and puja are very much appreciated!!!!:D

I had a similar surgery done on my right foot about ten years ago. It was the only surgery that felt better after I woke up than it did before I went in so I'm looking forward to having it done.
The only bad thing about this surgery is having to swing my fat ass 280 pounds on crutches for about 3 weeks.;)

If I do decide to do the back surgery it will be the fourth fusion I've had on my back.
Given the option I will probably go for it to save getting cortizone injections in my back every three months for the rest of my
life.
The 1st one fused L-5 thru L-3, the next one removed the hardware from surgery one and the doc fused L-3 to L-1 and used titainium screws and rods (much better than the stainless ones!!!!), the third one the same doc took out the hardware and re-fused the L-2 to L-1 vertebrate because it hadn't taken and cartilage was growing where bone should've been.
The first surgery was the one that was supposed to fix me up but the doc didn't get the arch in my back nowhere nearly as curved as it was originally.
Consequently the straighter back puts more pressure on the sacroilliac and hips which is the reason for the fusion of the sacro joints.
They don't move very much at all to begin with so won't limit my ability to move that much.

My advice to anyone facing back surgery is to at least get a second opinion and IMO a third one would be better!!!!
The neurosurgeon I have now I trust implicitly as he did the 2nd and 3rd back surgeries for me and I did much better than I did with the 1st one!!!!

Oh!!!! You mean about ripping the still beating heart outta a doc's chest?;)

The 1st step is to get a really sharp obsidian knife.:D

Have to check out the rock shop and see about getting good knapping tools. What's the ideal size and shape blade and the knapping tools I'll need?

PS: Don't go thinking I'm being judgemental about doctors here - remember I specified cardiologists. Cardiac surgeons in particular.

I'm talking about truth, fairness, and the american way of justice, ( other than lynching )- what goes around, comes around ( yeah, karma baby!!! ). Something you pray that they be granted the mercy to learn their lesson and change their evil ways before it catches up with them. Really and truly ( well, almost ).

But if they still don't get it, I wanna have seats on the 50 yard line to watch. With video tape replays and expert commentary.

Historical commentary: the last lynching in Nevada occurred in Hazen, partway between Fernley and Fallon. The newa took long enouugh that by the time the Reno paper heard about it and sent a reporter-photographer he'd been cut down and buried. But it being a historical event, the townspeople dug him out and strung him back up for a photo. Yes, it's still available for sale.
