Therein lies the rub@! I have seen a big range of difference on Buck ironwood scales. Some are really very striking and others, just blah

Always a roll of the dice with natural materials I suppose. Ironwood, Ebony and Stag can really run the gamut. Good Luck

Knocked it out of the park, down the street and over the hot dog stand two months in a row for me. David Martin would have approved this one big time! This is two months in a row for the French nail nick too, I'm pleased with that. Unique.

My order is in. I like it but.....
I might be the only negative Nancy but the long pull seems wrong on that model.
The blade shape is a bit different, perhaps when I get it in hand I'll feel different.

The blade shape looks to have less "belly" to it, so it looks slightly more pointed, like the blade on my 2018 Remington Bullet Kinfe (aka Buck 500).

In fact, minus all of the Remington markings, and with a long pull, it could pass in appearance as the BOTM.

Compared to a regular 500:

As someone else has already said.. I'm a sucker for Ironewood, so I ordered one.
