The BCCI knife was denied because it was purchased through Mr. Oden and the Buck Collector discount program. Buck denied the return, and I didn’t think it was very fair to send it back to Larry, making him eat the shipping charge from Buck, the shipping charge to me, the charge back to him, then back to Buck when it was a VERY obviously Buck factory mistake. So much so that a well known employee told me that they a should have held back the $350 knife they were selling because they were basically all bad.
Then I got a bunch of a excuses as to why their fit and finish is so bad lately. Ok…. If you have new, inexperienced, underpaid employees…. Maybe don’t set them to the task of making $350 knives. Maybe start small with what your employees and aging machinery are actually capable of. And maybe pay them more, and stop taking benefits away so you don’t have a 60% turnover rate in fabrication and assembly.
Lane Tobiasson is going to line the stockholders pockets and turn the company into crap and product quality to crap. Just like he did Smith and Wesson and Lacrosse/Danner.
Oh man, that turned into a bit of a rant.
