October Buck of the Month 2022...301 Stockman

The BCCI knife was denied because it was purchased through Mr. Oden and the Buck Collector discount program. Buck denied the return, and I didn’t think it was very fair to send it back to Larry, making him eat the shipping charge from Buck, the shipping charge to me, the charge back to him, then back to Buck when it was a VERY obviously Buck factory mistake. So much so that a well known employee told me that they a should have held back the $350 knife they were selling because they were basically all bad.

Then I got a bunch of a excuses as to why their fit and finish is so bad lately. Ok…. If you have new, inexperienced, underpaid employees…. Maybe don’t set them to the task of making $350 knives. Maybe start small with what your employees and aging machinery are actually capable of. And maybe pay them more, and stop taking benefits away so you don’t have a 60% turnover rate in fabrication and assembly.

Lane Tobiasson is going to line the stockholders pockets and turn the company into crap and product quality to crap. Just like he did Smith and Wesson and Lacrosse/Danner.

Oh man, that turned into a bit of a rant.

Thank you for the clarification. And, who doesn't like a good rant : ) I try to do at least one "old man rant" a day - keeps me young.

Doesn't sound like the Buck company who's fixed problems for me and tossed me a free Alumni when one knife was returned after warranty work. I've had them call me on the phone to discuss a knife I sent in.

Buck hasn’t been Buck in awhile imo.

Agreed. I am going through the painstaking process of returning a custom 110 I had made a while back that has an obvious defect (should not have been shipped out this way in the first place). Via email it is taking them 3-5 weeks respond (5 weeks for the initial email and 3 weeks for a follow-up question). I finally ended up calling them Monday and they stated they would email me a return shipping label. Currently waiting on that label.

Buck finally got back to me with an email apologizing for the delay, and saying they attached an shipping label to the email.

Except there's not shipping label attached to the email. 🤦‍♂️

Still no response from Buck.

I called them today to get that label sent. The person in the warranty department informed me that that was the customer service department's job and promptly transferred me... Which then told me no one was available to take my call and hung up.

I just called sales instead…. They physically walked over there and got it handled, lol. Label is in my email now. :)
I guess I'll have to do the same. I have been waiting on my return shipping label since last Monday, when they said I should have it by next day. :(
