Hi guys -
I have a large cooler with wheels that I will bring, with the steaks etc. and of course my camera. I am going to pick up a lantern this evening after work.
I will bring a boiling pot, and we can just use folgers instant coffee if nobody objects to that - that has been satisfactory on my camping/dirt biking trips.
Does anyone have any basswood blocks or something similar for carving? I figure carving would be a good group activity for a bunch of fellows who like to play with knives.
I will try to make a figure 4 deadfall at the cabin.
I will have with me a flashlight, sleeping bag, a roll of TP, sweatshirt and jacket, boots in case we decide to explore a little.
I also will pick up a little beer to supplement for the group, and a little spicy apple juice for me :^)
I will see if I have a large can of beans and we can just heat them up in the can to go with the taters and steak.
I will bring my DBH, a few of my JK's and my Kershaw Tilt (figured some of you might enjoy seeing that new model from Kershaw).
I have a gps, sent a link to the directions to my smart phone, and will be able to get to the web site if necessary, so we should be good to go.
Jeff - look for the bright yellow colorado circling the lake with the Crazy Bohemian, the Turkey Killing Kentuckian, and the JD soaked cornrgrinder!
best regards -
