Heres my newest find, I'm starting out 1st with a WORKING MANS knife, a 2 pin 3 liner It needs a ~Spritz~ but not a full Spa treatment.

1972 Stamp: BUCK, 112, U.S.A. read Left hand, 440C steel.
Blade/Butt rivets: Visible on both sides of bolsters, 2 rear, 1 front.
Inlay rivets: 2 (tiny)
Rocker rivet: Stainless, headed.
Sheath: Black leather. C.
Packaging: 2 piece yellow box about 2” high, Use and Care leaflet. **

I love patina and on leather too I will work around the Patina on leather with dyes & leather conditioners and bees wax sealers as much as possible.

No nail knick....

Look at the ~patina~ on the leather belt loop.....I love it! its sealed in now with a clear coat of conditioners. My inspiration to do this, is how they do old vintage Ford 100's keeping
the orginal paint & ~patina~ and then seal it in with a clear coat.

some nut & bolts shot....

nuts & bolts shot....

thanks DM....I have about 4 more 440c 112's to add to this thread/page. LOL Thats if I can find time with the getting out Garden ready....tilling is done! now its on to planting.

Don't throw away your old rolls from Aluminium Tin Foil they're very [hard] slice them with a ex-acto into the width of belt loops and it keeps the belt loops on the sheaths nicely formed & stops the cracking from being folded up against the back main compartment......use them for shipment! or just plain old storing your vintage sheaths. I love finding ways to re-purpose things.....

My Rank & File of *112* Rangers, 2 are missing in action for a total of #8

The other #2 that were missing in action....that I could not shoot as part of the rank & file....LOL

Nice photos. In the 3rd photo up the 1st 112 looks to be the micarta model. The first 112's had a brass spacer/lockbar the 2nd ones are like yours. Then your 5th 112 looks to be the shedua model. Both of these are hard to find. Good collecting, DM

Unfortunetly David, I lost a auction on two of those 1st Micarta's it was a set, 110 an 112 they were both immaculate! with original sheaths, and unfortunetly mine is not Micarta its the photo is too drk, I took months ago when I first started selling on line.
I also missed out on a a 2 pin Sequoia handled one too, I bummed out....

2nd photo up from the bottom is 440C SS Ebony........

VERY VERY NICE USMale my favorite sheathed lock-back especially the two dot no-nick .112. but with a low ryder sheath.

thank you garddogg56, I need more people to upload their 112's for this dedication page....feel free too

Mule,

Thanks TAH for the kudos on my mini collection...

Thats a beauty TAH.....and thats a very nice layout too for the photo shots.

Favorite I don't know I went after set of early 70's Micartas 110 & 112 that looked really sweet! But I tend to lean towards brass an wood, a naturalist? no traditionalist....Its the pirate an frontiersman in me. Watched to much Fes Parker as Daniel Boone & westerns as kid I guess? LOL

Hey Mule, I grew up with Daniel Boone and all the westerns too. Good times for sure.

When it comes to 112s, I really like the old ones with square frames, which pretty much boils down to your entire collection. :D

Right now what got me into procuring an re-conditioning these fine old bucks in the 440c is allot to do about my friends an how we all wore a sheathed buck *110* back in the 60's but mostly the 70's.
I was thinking and feeling I wanted to go [retro] and procure these knives from our teens an twenties and after re-conditioning the show them off to my [friends] on my FACE BOOK account plus the other 4,000 plus who didn't get to experience these classic 440c *110*s & *112*s the first one I posted on FACEBOOK was 2nd photo up from the bottom is 440C SS Ebony and the first reaction came from a friend Paula and she was in awe because she had a RANGER 112 in the mid 70's an wore one, the fine country girl she is. Just that reaction was enough for me.....and the reaction from others on my facebook page that Ive shared these photos with these nostalgic classic old Bucks and their response to them has been outstanding! the feelings & love people have for these classic 60's & 70's 440c 110 & 112 knives is just overwhelming....lots of

Good eye, David. Not sure about its age. As you know, the match safes have been in and out of production for decades. The compass is Marbles too - mid 90s vintage - when they were still made in Michigan.

They were a early company (1890's) with many innovations. The Safety Axe was another. They brought out a Woodcraft knife that Buck and many cutlery firms later copied. It's one of my favorites. DM

I have on these "Marble's match safe" but it can't be the same as yours mine is probably made in CHINA....LOL though I did have one from 1973 that I took backpacking that was probably made in the U.S. LOL
