tiguy,

The old school appearance of the 112 a nice compliment to the vintage match safes. Great looking set!

WOW! those are beauties! thanks Imafritz, for sharing them. Nice! collection.

have a great night!

Looking in my notes from George Stinzel's '110 and 112 Presentation' from 2008. He said, these models went thru the small pins numbering 2,3 and 4 in rapid secession in 1978. Ending with the large 3 pins by the end of that year. So, to me they are all rare. Still, those micarta ones are a mystery. DM

Interesting DM, So hes a knife smith & did this himself you think?

Well, I don't know what he is. What I think is those micarta models in your photo did not come out of the Buck plant. As all of the pins from that early era coming out of the Buck plant were of brass. Those look to be stainless pins. If those were from Buck by now someone on here would have brought this up or posted a photo of them. DM

Now with some question about their Authenticity I'm glad I did not aquire them. They went for couple of Benjamin's +

Thanks DM...

Buck brought out their 112 in 1972 with black micarta but NOT with 4 handle pins. It was with 2 small pins. DM

Fine looking knifes....I came so ever close of pulling the trigger on them.

thanks again DM

Mule, Another thing strange about that pair is the sheath shown for the 110 is from 1993. The 112 sheath looks to be correct. DM

Fritz, I can't let you get by with posting a photo of your club offering of paperstone and drop point 112. It's one of my favorite. DM

Yes I see that all the time, One of my pet peeves is when people seperate the knive from its born on date knife an sell them individually to make more. To me its Sacrilegious......and then it causes all these mis matched sheaths & knife problems. I understand trying to get a era sheath for a knife I'm try to do it all the time, with frustration. LOL
