I understand what you're saying but I also understand why the OP asked here. If he asked this question on the CRK forum he would get nothing but yes and positive comments. We've seen this asked in the general section and it often turns into something less than helpful. Since Busse customers are used to buying a quality blade and paying the premium for them, it's not an unfair question to ask a group of guys that are willing to plunk down more than $50 of their hard earned money for a knife. Since Busse doesn't have a folder it stands to reason since we like high quality fixed blades that some of us would also have CRK folders. And even their fixed blades. Since we know quality knives I think it's an okay question to ask. When I talk to fellow Hogs in person we discuss Busse and other knives, cigars, scotches and so on. And I've seen those same kinds of discussions on this very forum. It just means the OP values the opinion of those known for already liking good blades.

No, I would have to agree with Russ on this topic.
If this was asked in the CRK forums, most people are honest. Like if you asked about one particular model Busse here, there are all different thoughts on it. If you asked what is the best BM, well, that thread could go on for pages with everyone and their two cents. And Jerry will make the folder, so I don't think this would be the proper place.
Because even if we didn't like CRK, we really couldn't say so because most forums don't like bashing of another brand of knives on their forums...
So I would have to complete agree with Russ here.

CRK folders are pretty nice....

Light, easy to maintain, great build, solid lockup.... but for me just lacking a certain something.

Now a Hinderer 3" XM-18 wins hands down for me (especially after a re-porfile to 40 degrees). That and a Spyderco Paramilitary are my two favorites with the DPX HEST folder trailing by a smidge.

Now your pocket would be lucky to have any of the above mentioned folders hanging out in it.....

But what it REALLY NEEDS IS A BUSSE FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I get what you're saying. I'm just saying I also understand why the OP wanted the opinion of others that like high quality knives that might not necessarily be CRK fanboys.
I wish Busse would come out with the folder. I've handled it, or at least an incarnation of it and it's quite nice.

Frankly, what is it to me. Well I frequent this forum due to Busse Knives PERIOD. I am an ardent believer in the quality of Busse Knives as a whole but more importantly INFI as a steel. Yes I have other knives, and use other knives. I choose to go to those threads and or other forums and post there. Just me I guess! I respect the person or company in which the subject matter at hand is about. That's what it is to me.....

Moved, yes. Locked, no...but I don't see a reason yet. Most of us do own one or more brands of fixed blades outside the Bussekin realm too, and we do tend to place more trust in opinions from our own more than others.
I'm pretty sure that CRK can outlast the OP's question. ;) I prefer their folders to their fixed blades personally. Love my small Seb21. :thumbup:

I agree and feel the same way. If this was my forum, I wouldn't want someone to do that to me so I wouldn't do it to anyone else. I try to respect that this is Jerry's forum.

I don’t see a need to be a guardian of the “purity of the forum”. If this is so inappropriate, I’m sure the happy fella with the Busse folder will let us know (if he ever puts that folder down). Isn't it why he gets paid the big bucks?
The way I read OP’s question seems to be very complimentary to the people that frequent this sub forum; he wants their opinion, not the opinion from the main board or CR boys, but the HOGs of Busse, and the people generally admiring Busse products. So why not? At the end there is always this “don’t like, don’t click on the thread” thing as well.
But then again, you see it one way I see it the other, that’s why we post in here, isn’t it?
