  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Since ya'll are pack whores, what's a good pack for a day-hike / bug-out bag type setup? Needs to have MOLLE webbing on it and I'd rather it was a backpack than a sling pack.

5.11 Rush, for day hikes the 12 or 24, for BOB I'd go eith either the 24 or the 72 (which is quite large, but people tend to pack a lot of stuff in their BOBs).

I'd say get the 24, it should cover your bases pretty well.

I like 5.11 better than Maxpedition because it's cheaper, but still very high quality, and their packs have better internal organization.

My rush 12 has plenty of room for edc and some bob stuff. The rush numbers are supposed to be for hours worth of gear it will carry. 12, 24,72. But I can sure as hell make my 12 useful for a few days if need be.

Military MOLLE II 3 day assault pack, find 'em on ebay, great packs for cheap!

I've been using a Condor 2 for a while. Yeah.. it's old school, heavy and uncomfortable, but so am I.

Wife left this on the counter and I'm thinking I got my Friday night plans all set now.

Ok, packhounds, you got me a-searching.
What do you think of the Rothco Large and Medium Molle Military transport packs?

I ought to replace my *blue* EMS hunting backpack. Not so stealthy.

I need length width and height measurements of the stock grivory scales.

The 5.11 looks good, and I like that I can drop my camelback pouch in the back. Clich, is yours considered sandstone or FDE? From the one's I've seen, the colors are all over the place. Some show FDE as a light khaki and some show it darker than OD.

Its sandstone. Its about the same color as maxpeds khaki. Maybe a little "browner" but not much

Actually, I should have that avatar, for known reasons. Clich, measurements coming right up.

length 136,5mm width 43,2mm, thickness (thickest point is the handle swell) 10,5mm..
