Got to play with the Blackbird a little between storms today Murph. It's a real cutter. Kind of in between a BK7 and an ESEE 4 but definately in the "only one knife" category. It reminds me of a big Blind Horse bushcrafter. Really a good blade. It makes me really look forward to the ffg on the BK16.
Those are sweet.

Cool Trade! Like I said I haven't even used it yet so I'm glad to hear this. I can make plenty of assumptions about a knife, that's how I end up with them, but yeah I love to just test my theories on them too.

I had an awesome idea for a sweet sheath, I have the day of on friday and some kydex. I will post pics :)

It fits like a champ Nick.
I almost managed to ruin it like a dumb ass though.
I was playing with it and I wasn't as careful as I could have been putting it back in one of the times and almost cut through the throat.
It fits great, but this thing is so dang nasty now I cant be sloppy putting it into the sheath or I will cut it to ribbons.

Before, sheath that came with it and grinds straight from FBF

After, sheath from Nick, and belt convexed and Fisked as well as heving been worked out a bit.

Its a Devilish little knife, and I love the new pants for it.

Glad to hear it!!! I love me a good sharp knife, but you need to be a little more careful sheathing a good sharp knife. I've come real close to cutting up a couple of my sheaths. :D

Hey mywifethinksImcrazy, is it ok if I borrow a sheath idea from you?

What are you planning on borrowing? There really isn't much I can do even if I said no so go ahead.

I am really digging the color of the nix sheath and I also really like the blade shape. for some reason to me its like a nessmuk crossed with a clip point. Very nice!

A lot of people really like the chocolate brown color. I like it and the medium brown I've got. I don't think I've ever made a black sheath before. I might get some black though just because. :)

I have never been a fan of black leather for some reason, my wallets, belts, shoes.......always seem to be brown.

Two Friedman's scores. Got a nice Plano box for the bass flies I recently bought on clearance.
And I couldn't resist the little 4" Rapala fillet for my trout kit.
Friedman's, in case you didn't know, is a satellite site of Barlow.

Nice! I have never used flies for bass, maybe I should. Are those heavy enough to cast with an UL rod?

I bet the mice are. Not sure about the others.

Any of ya'll have any experience with the BSA Sweet 22 scope.

Been looking at them for a 10/22 rifle I'm working on.
