I have been reading all of the old posts on the Phat bob. I decided to cave in and get one give it a try. found one for 45 shipped and that seemed fair. From what a lot of guys said I will not be disappointed.

I think Bladite is the one who posted the tip on using the old BPA Nalgenes as ammo canisters.
Great idea. I've got a bunch in the attic. I'm going to start filling them up. You know, for the zombie apocalypse.
A single, liter-sized Nalgene will easily hold a couple of the 550 value packs (.22 LR).

I have the overwhelming urge to shoot that with a .410 just to see what happens.......

That's why Barlow is the bloodsplatter capital of the entire world.

Ok so off topic, but to all the Mora lovers out there and axe guys as well.
Have any of you tried or seen the Roselli knives and axes ? These look like good stuff in that nitch and are well reviewed just wondered what you might think.

Also I gotta get a few of those bottles for my 10-22 ammo stash ..lol

P.S. Guyon got enough in the attic to mail me a few ? ..lol

That really is a good idea for ammo storage. I've got some old BPA Nalgenes around here somewhere. If I didn't have BPA poisoning I could remember where they are.

I survived. Despite the screeching, the endless stream of crying, the neverending injuries from the jumpy castle, the kids staying up too late, and then one little boy throwing up this morning. I have instructed my children to stop growing older, so we don't have to have any more of these nightmarish parties.

On another note, does anyone know of a source for a double-bit nessmuk style belt hatchet that might come in under $150? The Lee Reeves pieces are dreamy but I'd hate to spend that much on something I won't use more than a few times a year.

Send the Biscuit a PM. He can fix you right up.

BRL

Condor makes a good double bit axe that's only 24 inches long and less than a 2 pound head.
Fit and finish aren't amazing but they work quite well and sharpen up nicely, and like almost all Condor stuff they come with nice leather.

@ Battle Creek Knives

I have a CS rifleman, and am still looking for a good camp axe....lol
If that says anything.
Its not bad but its not what I wanted either. Thinking about a Wetterlings carpenters axe or a different brand that I just posted about earlier today.

So I'm a bit technically challenged, and haven't got the dates to print in pictures yet.

I did manage to get the date in the contest pic ... with a crayon (lol)

But here's another pic including my cell with date.

(why didn't I just use this for the contest ? Good question. Just liked the other one better )
