Despite the screaming, and the crying, and the vomit.... there was still a silver lining to be found.

* I didn't buy any new knives.
* I watched ED WOOD, which I got from Netflix two months ago.
* I gave my Phat Bob, SAK, and Conductor the spa treatment.
* I washed my truck.

So, not a total loss. Now, for that beer....
 
Just finally finished my first ever leather sheath for my rehandled BK11. Pretty happy with how it turned out, pics tomorrow!

There's just nothing like seeing the dust fly off a Carhartt coat :D

I bought ten bricks of Federal 510's the other day on sale at a local gun shop for $10.99 apiece. I get nervous when my pile gets below 15K.
 
That's a decent price for Federal, now! I picked up 20 boxes from Cabela's when it was $7.50 a few years back and I'm getting down to my last few. Now it's about $15 every time I check.

I'm looking into getting my first axe and I figured I would ask you guys first. Can anyone recommend any good ones? I'm looking at the scandanavian forst axe from Gransfors Bruks.
 
We had a fire in the fire bowl tonight, so I cooked some delicious water over the coals in my Guyot.

after posting earlier I googled around and found the happy compromise, the pipe hawk... just ordered one a bit ago... its been along time since I've bought anything for myself... other then supplies that is:D

oh, I have a spot reserved/paid at the hammer-in coming in August, I will be forging my first hawk.. hopefully a few its a 3 day event !!!!!!!
