Hey fellas I'm going in for a job interview tomorrow at a new place. I'm pretty excited about going there since I've heard nothing but good things about the place, and that everyone loves working there.

Good luck with that. I'm seriously looking at leaving the debacle that is my current workplace for a company that has been poaching all our best people the past few months. Two ships heading in opposite directions from a business sense and I am on the wrong one.

Damn. Small Fart keeps raising the price on my value packs. Not more than two months ago, 550 Federal packs were $13.97 at my nearest store. Next time I bought 'em, they were $14.97.
Tonight? $15.47. The only reason I keep buying them every time they're in stock? Every other Small Fart in the area is charging $18.97 a box. Plus I have a lot of Nalgenes with BPA in them.

Remember the old Remington cyclones in the round tube,can you still find those these days?

I don't normally frequent "Small Fart", but I might have to check that out just in case. Of course the one near me doesn't even carry firearms, but I do think they have some ammo.

depends on the state your in.

some states, you may not possess ANY firearm without an appropriate permit (FID) and some allow you to carry the unloaded and locked containered item in your trunk, with ammo in separately locked container.

CCW is TYPICALLY for carrying a loaded handgun legally concealed on your person or car, but again, that varies.

in some areas, it's illegal to have a loaded longgun anywhere in, on, or near your vehicle.

your gun shop should give you the particulars, but you should know your local and state laws. know them VERY WELL.

All i know is, that in my state, you do not need a CCW permit to carry a loaded handgun.

It is legal to have it unconcealed and on your person without a CCDWL.

And, it is also legal to have it loaded and in the glove box of your car.

Again, it depends on the state.

yeah, what Bladite said.
Make sure you pick up a lock when you pick up the gun.
In my state they give free keyed cable locks. Then lock the gun, close the case, put it somewhere in accessible to the driver. But seriously, what Bladite said re: laws.

MOST states have some sort of basic provision to allow someone who can legally possess a firearm to move it (safely) from one permitted location to another.

My stupid state lets you do that with handguns to and from the range - there's a specific exemption. But there's no specific exemption for to/from the gun store. But then our legislators are fools, front to back, and we've earned 'em.

I don't need a license to own or have a gun. Pennsylvania baby. I think the trunk idea is probably best. Pick it up, leave it factory fresh in the case in the trunk and get it home. I live in pa and from the people I've talked to its a gun friendly state. Just say what you have up front if your stopped and make sure it's registered and a legal gun to own. And as long as its not loaded and on your hip there shouldn't be a problem. I just didn't know specifics of a handgun. Since ive only ever transported long guns around.

Open carry is only permitted with a firearms permit but those are only given to LE and security officers. I can carry openly without a permit.on private property. In public its gotta be concealed and I need a permit. Google-fu. I think that open carry should just be allowed. A guy with a gun displayed on his hip, isn't hiding anything . It's the guy with the butt just peeking out of his pants at the small of his back that is the one to worry about
