What r u thinking. A prize for bH #200 or a giveaway when we hit #200. Or did we already?
Sorta like what I did for the 100 BH, a giveaway. could be a contest, what ever the person hosting it whats to do. I was thinking it'd be cool if one person hosted the thing and anyone who wanted to kick in some goodies could send them to the person hosting it to give away. I did the 1st one, so someone else gets a shot at it this time. I have a new set of Hickory scales I'd put in for one of the prizes. Just an idea. I think it could be used to generate some excitement if done right.

Pretty sure I got ripped of earlier today by a guying claiming to be a retired Marine who was supposedly collecting money for children of current and fallen marines. I gave a donation to the guy of $20 around Christmas time.

Against my better judgement I "loaned" the guy $10 today, said someone else in the building needed change to make their donation. When he wouldn't bring me the money first, I told him I couldn't help. He persisted and "gave me his word as a Marine" he'd be back in no time. It's been over 1 1/2 hours now and I don't expect he'll ever be back. I reported him to building security after about 40 minutes. Like I said, I should have known better, but here I am.

Normally my attitude when making a donation is that I'm doing my part in being charitable to those less fortunate, they'll be held accountable in the end for what they actually do with the money. I could care less about the money in this case. BUT, it makes my blood boil and I get sick to my stomach thinking this guy is either a.) impersonating a Marine to scam people, or b.) is actually a Marine who is dishonoring himself and the Marine Corps by scamming people. To be honest, I'm not sure which option is worse.

I hope I'm wrong about the guy, but while I may be a sucker, I'm not stupid. I'd love to confront the guy if I ever see him again, but I'm not sure I could keep my cool and avoid doing something stupid.

yeh the grind is sick. The handles arent the comfy-est. you'd figure andys handle shaping skills would have rubbed off but no. Other than ergos the thing is amazazing

Dude I'm pretty shocked to hear this about the handle. Seems like that's one of his strong points. I love the handle on the Kilo.

Also, I can't remember... did you tell me who made the black leather sheath for the kilo? I hadn't been impressed with it via pictures but once I had it in my hands I fell in love.

I think the previous owner I believe. I'm not too sure either. I think they came with kydex or no sheath at all but I could be wrong

This scored me major Brownie points with the wife. Carved it in with the Barlow while she wasnt watching

And as the sun sinks slowly into the west....

It rained most of the day, so we didn't get to do a swamp hike we had planned. It quit about thirty minutes ago and did this right at dark.
