Tradewater, that is so beautiful! I think I'm crying right now, but don't tell the rest of the beckerheads

Daizee you need to listen to some Faces and get correct about pre-shitty Rod Stewart. Boy used to be able to sing and had balls back then.

Pretty sure I got ripped of earlier today by a guying claiming to be a retired Marine who was supposedly collecting money for children of current and fallen marines. I gave a donation to the guy of $20 around Christmas time.

Against my better judgement I "loaned" the guy $10 today, said someone else in the building needed change to make their donation. When he wouldn't bring me the money first, I told him I couldn't help. He persisted and "gave me his word as a Marine" he'd be back in no time. It's been over 1 1/2 hours now and I don't expect he'll ever be back. I reported him to building security after about 40 minutes. Like I said, I should have known better, but here I am.

Normally my attitude when making a donation is that I'm doing my part in being charitable to those less fortunate, they'll be held accountable in the end for what they actually do with the money. I could care less about the money in this case. BUT, it makes my blood boil and I get sick to my stomach thinking this guy is either a.) impersonating a Marine to scam people, or b.) is actually a Marine who is dishonoring himself and the Marine Corps by scamming people. To be honest, I'm not sure which option is worse.

I hope I'm wrong about the guy, but while I may be a sucker, I'm not stupid. I'd love to confront the guy if I ever see him again, but I'm not sure I could keep my cool and avoid doing something stupid.

Got an update for us man?

Well the guy never showed up again, so I'm forced to assume he's a fraud at this point...

Yeah I worked in a restaurant in a trendy area of town once. A guy came in acting kinda strange and asking people for $. I pulled him aside and he claimed he was mentally handicapped and missed his bus to go home(a greyhound going out of town). I gave him some cash and sent him on his way. A month later he came by with a different story, so I did the only logical thing. I chased him down the street screaming "YOU'RE NOT F!@#ING RETARDED!" I never saw him again, but I think he got the point.

Murph will hunt him down cant have him giving vets a bad rep. I hope Karma works.

I will accompany Murph!! Psyop is right we can't have people claiming Vet status in order to screw other people.

Even if they are claiming to be Marines :D

Sure some Vets are dirt bags but it makes them bigger dirt bags to use the Vet thing for that.

Yeah, my roommate is a vet and he hates when vets or anyone still active acts like a turd in public.

I was going through a box of odds and ends in the workshop and found this today. Bought it a long time ago and forgot all about it. I feel almost clichy. :D

I have that same knife. It was my go to deer knife for 15 years. Still one of my favorites. Perfect size handle for my big mits. It came soo sharp that the first time I resheathed it I stuck it through the sheath through my jeans and into my thigh. Want to sell that sheath?

I'll bet it is a dandy deer unzipper. This one hasn't been out of the sheath over three or four times and never used for anything. I remember thinking "this is the closest I'll ever get to a Loveless" when I bought it.

Naw man, I better hang onto the sheath..

JM that is an outstanding pic. I wish you could have shot the sunset we had here tonight.

Thank you very much, Trade. I am used to doing portraits, so I went out to the farm today and got some pics of the animals. That old girl is the top hen, she runs the farm, at least for the next couple years.

I have a great DSLR, that my stepmom gave me for free. I have no idea how to use it despite her lengthy explanation.

What you got? They are really simple actually, just takes practice! Its the lenses that make or break the outcome.

My wife just made a set of posing pillows (puck style..etc) for a portrait photographer near here.

Sweet. I hate doing studio stuff. I try to capture my clients as naturally as possible because nobody looks like those walmart picture poses in real life.
