Is it bad when your doc send you for a thyroid ultrasound and the tech gasps and says "thats the biggest thyroid I have ever seen?

Well I tried explaining that glands run big in my family but she wasn't impressed. ;)

I didn't even know what a thyroid was last week.

I have a blood test tomorrow and I will find out next week whats going to happen to me. The doc had a pretty positive outlook so I think I will be ok.

First time Ive had a doctor younger than me. Respect your elders young lady I wanted to say but didnt find a reason.

There's really nothing to worry about brother! My mom has a thyroid problem, it's hyper or something like that and can be taken care of with meds!

Keep us posted bro!
 
You're probably looking at taking meds daily, but you're gonna be fine. My sister has it, and aside from a little tendency to become a tiny little bit overweight, you have nothing to worry about. You should start watching out for a mostly iodine-free diet.

In all seriousity, I hope everything checks out for you and this is a very minor inconvenience rather than a problem.

you bet I'm a baseball fan... plan to coach little league this year, sign ups are feb 4...

i'm an old dodger fan, but since i'm here now i've been rooting for the cards, and go figure they win the series and what a crazy series that was...

oklahoma sucks hard, we have no pro teams here other then the new orleans folks we adopted after katrina, now called the thunders or some nonsense...

asked an old die hard ou fan what he'd do if okla ever got a pro football team, he told me that would never happen we have ou.... !!!!!

being from ca. I'm used to having multiple pro teams across the board...
