my oldest nephew is home from college for spring break...put new lights on the boat trailer today...the BK16 is going FISHING tomorrow!

I got this as a random gift today. It says buck 105. I know nothing about bucks but it looks unused. I"m going to post in the buck forums too, but anyone know anything they'd like me to know before i go play with it out in the woods?

I don't know much about the knife other then its prob 420hc and phenolic handle. Oh and nice shoes!
 
Buck 105 is the Pathfinder - hollow ground 420HC steel like most of their "stock" blades.
my experience with Buck is that they take a decent edge and hold it fairly well.
have fun with it!
 
Ok, I realize this is probably a stupid question. Several times I've heard reference to "a knife store up the river" or some connotation like that.

What store is that? Is it Tomars? Is it "That Auction Site"?
 
I had a great night, dinner with the folks and BS'n. It's gorgeous out here, a perfect sunday night.

Just saw Act of Valor. Such a good movie, I will be getting it on BR when it comes out. cried like a little girl.

Good movie, saw it twice. Shooting was good. Acting wasn't wonderful but for once I liked that it wasn't great acting, felt like I was watching the SEALs do what they do. Get your Frogman on. I did wonder why they didn't use suppressed weapons more though. I like that poem by Tecumsah.

Yeah, that was a great poem! I plan on finally getting my Left half sleeve, incorporating my Army service and at the bottom in old English script I think I'm gonna get "Damn Few". I just love that.

I have not heard a single thing about micarta for the Shorts yet. No one is listing them and they are not designated in the catalog as a for sale item. But I can find out.
