Here's some of where I'm at right now:

That 16 looks pretty epic, although a part of me still prefers saber ground. Performance talks though. I'll be interested to try out the FFG version.

Also, I am a sucker for Star Wars books, and have most of the 200+ on my phones e-reader thingamajig.

Timothy Zahn and Kevin J. Anderson for the mother effin win! That's Star Wars done right. Lucas should have taken notes before launching his Vader with mommy issues prequel.

Amen sir. Go tell it on the mountain!

Stackpole does some decent work, and Karen Traviss was perhaps one of my favorites to tackle anything recent. Of course Lucas had to destroy that too though. Damn him. May his own personal hell be filled with a thousand Jar-Jars.

CF,

Nice. I'll take a pic of my "keep" collection when I get home.

I had a bunch back home too, but couldn't justify the expense of shipping them out here when I moved. My SW sets were there, and most of my sci-fi. Been doing fantasy mostly lately.

Traviss is probably my favorite Star Wars author, followed by Zahn, and then Stackpole. Anderson was good, but not my favorite. Love what Traviss did with the Mandolorians. Then Lucas had to go turn them into pacifists. Seriously, WTF is that about.

Ever been really anxious to bid on something on "that auction site", but no you shouldn't because there's too much time left in the auction, but you really wanna just bid anyway?

And then you think it's almost Tuesday, and the last thing you wanna do is tie up some ca$hflow........ nuts.

I'm staying out of the exchange and off that evil auction site until I know whats going on tomorrow.

Ah, you are doing mighty fine then sir.

As far as Marvel vs DC, once Disney bought Marvel, I canceled all my funny books, DC and Marvel alike. Don't touch 'em anymore. Frees up more money for knives too. ;)

I do still order the occasional action figure though. Discarding of childish things be damned! I like my toys. I do however always push comics as a great literary device for children learning to read. There is no better way for a child to learn how to read and practice than comic books. And I support my local comic shop. Mostly cause my buddy owns it, and I hang out down there a good bit.

When I moved to Paris at age 12, I couldn't read French (or speak or write it for that matter) and taught myself to read by comparing my US comics to the French issues.

I'd be interested in knowing how much my X-men issue is worth, if your friend and yourself have the time? Issue # 137 of The Uncanny X-men.

One of my absolute fav reads I think is from a graphic novelist "the child thief" by Brom. If you haven't read the dark take on peter pan you haven't lived. Also just got the hunger games book 1 from a girl at work. Figured I'd give it a shot since the movie and all. I picked it up a few times at the book store only to never really be turned onto it by the description on the back. Really that needs to be as well written or better than the actual book.

Also I will say this. I enjoyed the twilight saga books. I really did. They were entertaining. Also the mysterious midnight sun installment that leaked on the internet is just awesome. Twilight from Edwards point of view. Gorey and graphic. Like he thinks of how he would slaughter an entire classroom of kids just so he can slowly savor killing Bella. THAT should have been twilight.

Criminal nice collection man. Most of my books are electronic. Big kindle fan here.

Here's what Ethan looks like when he realizes, "Yes, I too can post teh pikturs on teh interwebz. HAHA, and take that, ludditism." :D He's gonna kill me.

Edited to add, Robert Heinlein FTW! +1 like Thrillbilly said. Also, anything by Douglas Adams is gold in my opinion.

If you like Heinlein, you should check out "forever war" by joe haldeman
