There is a BK5 for $60 shipped in the exchange right now. Not mine but looks like a good deal for some Beckerhead.

Depending on what I have read, there may be a more affordable version of that knife coming before too long. I could be wrong, but from what I saw, it looked like another maker was churning some out in the same style and shape, but less bells and whistles.

Alrighty guys I'm trying to shop for a pack.
I kinda like the maxpedition falcon II and the litespeed flexxx has.

Can someone list some pros/cons of either that they may own?
 
the falcon two had too many straps dangling around for me. I think i like the pygmy falcon better. is it a hiking/day pack your looking for? as far as price goes theyre in totally different markets
 
I have the Falcon II. Although it's a small pack, I find it a comfortable fit, with plenty of room for what I need. I wanted a smaller pack for EDC, and have an ALICE if I want to use a larger pack. I have no complaints about it, as it was just what I was looking for. Never had the other pack, so can't comment there.
 
I am looking for an edc, but although everyone's murses are very nice, I really don't want to do a shoulder strap, I want a back pack. It needs to be small so I can climb around with the bag on without feeling restricted or weighed down. I like black and green. The maxpedition is about as tactical of a look as I can get away with, I want to be able to take it to work and stuff without getting too many weird looks. Thats why black would probably be a better color than camo. Price wise, of course I am looking at lower priced stuff, but the right pack is worth the extra money to me.

Cap'n check out the pygmy falcon 2 thats a good edc pack and my second choice behind the monsoon gearslinger. Oh and OD or khaki is where its at. the lines and look of your pack gets lost in black.

the litespeeds are very nice, but 2x the cost of the maxpedition packs iirc, erk.

max's come in a variety of friendly colors, and have some good "office" features, as well as often having a hidden pocket, for putting a good sized tool in there without sheeple seeing it, or even detecting it, even if they handle your pack.

something that's more "square" than not, might be more practical. a waist belt option for retention while biking or active could be useful; i'm not talking about a hip belt for load bearing though.

lots of little external pockets, or ability to add them and keep them flat is useful. speaking of flat, many packs have straps along the side now which let you compress the thing a bunch.

a water bottle pouch is a nice thing to have as well. not all packs have that - it's an add on, and not always as nice (bulky/floppy)
 
Yeh the pygmy falcon 2 is where its at. I think that will solve your needs nicely. smaller and lighter than the falcon 2 yeh big enough for edcing some abnormal murse stuff like a bk10 :D
 
Piss on all ya'll, Condor II is the only REAL Maxped out there. I mean, c'mon.

Pygmy Falcon is for kids and old people. Get a real bag that, when its really cold outside, will scrape the hide off your knuckles when you reach in to get something.
