There's that Christmas warm n' fuzzy feel again. Good stuff Vik!

Here was my saturday project...

Built from 2x4's, deck screws and MDF sheets. Painted the top sheet a light gray. I added supports for a middle shelf to be added later. This is the second bench I built off these plans -

http://www.hammerzone.com/archives/workshop/bench/below20xl.html

I tweaked the plans to make it 36" tall and a 4'x2' top. The old bench is going to be primarily for dyes and finishes, and the new bench will be for setting hardware (rivets, snaps, etc).

Hey people. Been going full force at my schoolwork (Biology degree in the works). There are only a couple of weeks left for the semester and then it's time to go out and chop some stuff.

I know so much about sea turtles now, you would not believe it

Lesson of the evening; women require more of a reaction than the "damn!" that works here.

Nice setup bro!!!!

I picked up an Old Hickory 14" butcher knife at a yard sale today for two bucks. Makes one hell of a machete. It's close to an eighth inch thick so it has some decent heft to it and bites really deep. I think the OH's are 1095 and I know it's USA made by Ontario. Just thought I'd toss it out there because you can buy a new one for ten or twelve bucks.

My wife is a Goodwillaholic, and I told her to keep an eye out for old hickory knives. They look like fun to mod, from several threads I've read.

Wife and I went to a dance studio (salsa, tango, etc) party/performance tonight at the request of one of her friends and I spent the night mesmerized by perfect swaying rear ends and I never wanted to leave and it is over and now I am sad.

Looks like you guys had a great day for it. Wish we could have made it. It's hard to imagine the water that high during the flood.

Guyon, can you poke around that old mill? I love exploring abandoned buildings like that.
