Ah yes, a secret ninja sect dedicated to silently eradicating punctuation.

On another topic:
What can all you crazy survivalists tell me about propane generators?

In a power outage I want to be able to run:
1) well pump (intermittent)
2) furnace (oil) - we have a woodstove or two also
3) fridge (intermittent)
4) a circuit for maybe a CF light or two, cell chargers, internet hardware

forget the electric stove... One reason I'm thinking about propane generators is I can also replace the electric stove with a propane unit and run both off the same large tank.

depending on the wattage needs of the well pump, sounds like you would be good to go with something in the 5k -7500 watt range.

Hm, ok. I'd better look at the higher end of that range. The pump is 400ft down a 600ft well. I only know it's a Franklin because we had to replace it a buncha years ago. The manual MAY be around somewhere...

I'd want to wire this thing into the house so I can switch several circuits over to it when cutting out the street power. Ideally the well & fridge would be on a cut-out circuit so only one runs at a time. The well is 220v, the fridge only 110v. A battery or two (auto? UPS?) to buffer the startup demand is probably necessary. I'm not an electrical expert, tho.

Nope, that's a Yugo SKS with original wood.

you sir are obtuse (that's a kind of wood) :D

i know it's a yugo SKS :> is the wood on that one teak? many of the last model 59/66 [a1s] had teak wood, if so, buff that out, and oil it :)

What kind of furniture is in the Russian SKS?

Back in the gym again. I let myself go and got flabby around the middle. Im training like im playing hockey again. Kick ass circuit training. 25 "stations" TWICE 1 minute per, 30 sec rest between. every other station is a step up platform and i alternate technique (straight up and down, side to side, and up and down backwards. The even sets are machines with low weight high reps, gotta do it for the full minute.

Somebody come over and peel me off the floor.

Thats weak sauce clich, hit hard and heavy bro.......tons of reps are for the ghey's

I thought you meant it looked like a replacement stock.

ah, so, no, that looks delightfully stock :)

i'd buy one of THOSE, but not the hacked one i saw... i'd do the hacking myself, or not ...

the wood comes off super easy, as i'm sure you know, and i'd make it really nice :)

tapco makes a VERY good stock for shooting with, simple to swap out. then put it back after cleaning for storage. good times.

right now, i'm leaning towards a PTR-91,Inc "PTR-32" - the unholy marriage of a HK G3/91 with russian gauged ammo :)

Well, she's all official. I'm 48 today, jeeez....<------old fart.

Thanks guys, appreciated. I don't feel a day older than 47 really.
