So I'm in Colorado for the next couple days. It's damn cold here. The upside is that I've got an awesome hotel room.

BOOM! new murse! 5.11 Rush 12. I was worried that it would be too small since it only boasts a 1200 cu in size and my monsoon had 1600, but being better organized and more of a rectangle shape than the monsoons triangle, well it seems to have MORE room. I love it. It will have even more room inside when my maxped 10x4 gets here and the nalgene and cup will be kept on the outside just like my first aid kit in the maxped fr-1 pouch.

The rush 12 has been on my list for a while.

Just ordered a Maxpedition Noatak the other day, can't wait to get it.

Also got my girlfriend the Maxpedition Jumbo versapack and one of those glow in the dark nalgenes!

the glow in the dark nalgenes are overrated and pointless for me. I keep mine in a cup and soon in a bottle holder so it wont ever get enough light to GLOW. dumbness on my part. although it didnt cost more so i guess it doesnt matter.

Well my girl really gets a kick out of glow in the dark things. It made her happy.

It's not my style but whatever.

Making em happy is the name of the game. Hell i thought i would love it when i chose the GITD. now its just eh whatever only the top the stuck out of the monsoon pouch glowed. Now that its inside the 12 itll never glow. I traded the monsoon. Got a scrapyard yard guard for it. Pretty psyched about trying out a scrapyard. My only other busse kin was a swamp rat mishief 6 and I MISS THAT KNIFE something crazy. I also picked up a sykco 511 m/o so i will get a nice look at the scrapper line. And if i dont like em i can always trade em for something else. i love this place.

Being a pack snob and all :D do you notice any difference in quality between maxped and 5.11?

I've just a pack noobie but ya hear people squawk about these things every now and then, and it makes me wonder what's true/ fanboyism...
