Well since Flexxx hasn't posted up any pix of an ESEE knife yet I guess I will, but I'm just showing off the set of liners he sent me for this here RC3. :D

How you liking that ESEE man? I had an ESEE 4 for 2 days, damn uncomfortable handle so I gave it away.

I know y'all aren't going to leave me out of the KFU love fest. Chris give any thought to the email I sent you about that knife project?

Ok, damn, I need a day off. Since Friday, I've been working on a remodel at the house. I took down a 20' tall fireplace, turned it into rubble, shoveled it up, moved it out, and patched the hole in the all.

Now, I've got a pulled muscle in my back, and I need to finish insulating the wall, hang some drywall, mud it, sand it, paint it and put up crown and foot molding. I need a damn break.

This is the first time I've gotten on the forums, with the intent to post.

Damn.

Whine and bitching over, off to get some drywall.

Thank you kindly sir. I appreciate that. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I plan to be making more soon.
You're quite welcome sir. TW, you would really enjoy the link I posted above. I know you like the old tools. Well worth watching.

EDIT: BTW, it takes a bit to get to the actual build.

Just finished watching it. Damn. Loved it. That guy was a craftsman.

I remember an old man that lived up in the country when I was kid, would peck away with a broadaxe all day long. Hewing out timbers for barns. That's how he made a living and you damn sure knew you had your hand shook when he took a liking to you.

Thought you'd like that. I had to watch it again. Everything old school is fast becoming a lost art. I liked the part where he sharpened that broad axe, and shaved his arm with it. Ah, the good old days, where people still cared about their kids, etc. Did you notice how excited the kids were at the end, when he put it in the water? Don't see things like that anymore.

kids were hoping it would sink :) kids are like that ;)

step 1: cut down an 800+ year old tree

step 2: count the kids and make sure none were squished; if you lost a couple, commence to making more

step 3: drink some shine

step 4: shave arms

step 5: ditch most of the wood, save for a LITTLE hollow shell. that's your boat.

step 6: go fishing :>

step 7: apologize to the wife for getting her in a family, way, cutting her favorite tree down, and spending all day drunk, and fishing with your pals

step 8: make a dog house with scrap wood, you're going to be sleeping there for a long, long time.

Now that was funny.

ain't nothing like a clinker built dog house :>

direct link if all y'all wants to save a copy to your "hard drive" for later perusing :>

now, all that work making a canoe... makes me think to little old Nessmuk and his 10-14 pound canoes... think about that... about the same weight as a loaded modern battle rifle... try to find a kayak made that way. cheap. gotta love roto-molded kayaks though. take a beating for decades.

It's not the greatest knife I've ever handled, but it isn't the worst either. There are ways to hold it though that makes it feel very nice in hand.

I think you should try the 6, and if you don't like that one you can send it to me :D

the 3 & 4 are MUCH improved by the addition of TKC G10 scales.

I think you should send me some of these G10 you speak of so that I may try them....yes that's it....try them.....for a while. ;)

I for one like my ESEE-3. Until the tweeners become available here, that is...

That's kinda my thought on this one also, but I got the Condor Sapien for that too. I think I like the RC3 better though; I tend to carry it more.

Holy Crap!! I'm gone for a few days and the whole forum blows up!! Its gonna take me forever to get caught up!!
