Well i missed my chance at a trophy today. I could see this suckers rack over the brush as it walked toward me for a 10 minutes and it looked like a moving tree. at least an 10 pointer with all of em tall and straight. The perfect buck. He stopped about 40 yards from me in between two trees. Last year i missed a doe in the same situation by blowing out the tree, so i decided to wait for him to get clear. Well this guy didnt get THAT BIG on public land by being dumb. He made me and took off into the brush. I didnt realize how big he was until he leaped in the air. he was MASSIVE. I tracked him for a little while then the trail went cold. Its hard with an invasive sticker bush thats 5 feet high on its own and 12 ft when it grows up a tree. Nasty shite. Any ways my legs are all cut up and i was tired and frustrated that i didnt shoot when i could have so i packed it in early. Then to add to my awesome day, i got home and unpacked and my mag for my 06 was missing. It mustve fallen out of my pocket when i unloaded to walk back to my truck. a replacement is $50. FML.

on a positive note my 15 year old brother in law got a 9 pointer.

Awww man that sucks clich!! So I have been watching that thread you made in gadgets and gear about the rush 12 pack. I was thinking about getting it, when I do you want a review?

heck yeh. I wish they made it OD but khaki is ok. I had a 5.11 pouch and the material wasnt as heavy duty as my maxped stuff so i worry about quality. But people seem to love em so maybe im just too picky, or i had a crappy pouch. It was second hand so who knows what it went through before i got it. Im looking into the backpack style more now. The one strap is starting to weigh on my spine a lil too much after carrying it loaded every single day

They had a Moab Rush that looked pretty good for a med kit, but the price kept me carrying a backpack a while longer. I did get the ol lady to get me a pair of 5.11 cargo pants. I wanna see a side by side for size wise. What would you say they compare to in maxpeds line since ive had a few. Is the 24 like the vulture? or more like the falcon?

Yeah, Manfred's shop is the cat's meow. If I decide I like the BK-7 I'll get a Combat Master for it, or make some kydex/ have some kydex made.

and i want one thats small enough to edc but big enough to BOB and hike and hunt with. o yeh and has two straps. and since we are talking to flexxx the pack snob i will also add i want one that isnt $300
 
My Rush12 has attachment points on the bottom that I could attach some sleeping gear to, and if I max out all the MOLLE with pouches I could very well pack all the gear for an overnighter in fall, or a weekend in summer. If you want something that will also serve as a BOB, I think the 24 would be the best size they offer, it is quite a bit bigger. I think the stuff I could get in and onto the Rush12 would fit into the 24 without any problems, so you would have all the attachment points free for more gear.

I can make a quick video, just loading the Rush12 up, if that helps. don't expect too much though, it's dark here and the lighting in my room isn't the best.
 
Damn, now I know how Flexxx feels, everybody copying me. Minus the prison wallet though:D.
