rifle season opens at dawn. Getting gear ready. i usually dont sleep too well before opening day. One of these years im gonna try archery again. Used to shoot alot as a kid since my dad is big into archery, but i lost interest when football and girls came into my life. Anyways. Just a pre-hunt glamour shot

Naw, the ESEE Laser Strike is the only other one I'm looking at. I'm moving more into some customs these days.
 
The wife and kid are off to spend a night at her moms since she doesn't wanna be woken by me at 3am getting ready and I refuse to sleep on the couch before a hunt, The gear is packed, the beer is cold. Time to sit back and relax, have a few cold ones, hits the hey, and then headhunt some whitetail. Night all, see you at dusk tomorrow, or sooner if I'm lucky enough to bag one.
 
best of luck - rifle season starts Wednesday here. I think I'll call in with a severe case of odocoileus deficiency Friday morning, unless I get more lucky than expected Thursday evening.
 
I am packed and ready for deer season in the morning. I will not be picky either...If its has no spots its gettin shotz!

wimps. they won't let us have rifles here.... we'd shoot into the next state from just about anywhere. :-(

I wish. With my lack of funds early I only got a buck tag. My doe application was sent in so with any luck ill have a brown and down tag within a week

In Ohio, you can take 5 does and 1 buck, if you play the zones right. All over the counter tags.

same here -- and archery season runs better than 2 months, rifle gets 10 days in December and another week in January that's antlerless only. (button bucks are fair game for that one, too, so long as there's less than 1" of antler)
 
Almost became a shoulder bag nut today. Was at a local big chain outdoors store that recently started carrying 5.11 gear. They had a Moab Rush that looked pretty good for a med kit, but the price kept me carrying a backpack a while longer. I did get the ol lady to get me a pair of 5.11 cargo pants. They'll be part of my Christmas so I gotta wait a month.
 
So you guys did it again. As soon as my wage for November shows up on my bank account (which will be today or tomorrow), I will order a BK-7. Giving that "big knife" thing I keep hearing about another try :D
