Bought some of those awhile back, and put them in my pack. I bought them for something specific, but can't remember now.
 
I felt badly about paying full-price for my straight-side stainless Nalgene, seeing as how there'd been a $15 clearance on them at one point.

Now I'm not feeling so badly. I hope they do show back up for those who want one, however.

And on that note, we had a little rain last night and its much cooler today, hopeful it helps the firemen. So far the fires not close enough to worry, we had some ash last night thats it.

Had a busy weekend! friday night my band played a private party, had a blast...picked up a possible 3 more gigs which is crazy...woke up early yesterday and went scalloping with the woman and another couple at Port St Joe, FL. We snorkled for a few hours, saw the Gulf life and collected our limit of about 8 gallons of scallops...after that we boated to a little island and hung our hammocks for a little overnight camp...fresh scallops on a fire, beer, buddies and beach...couldnt ask for a better time..today, ill be cleaning the rest of the scallops for a little scampi and pasta feast...

Need a Becker dive knife...brought my stainless divtul, but didn't use it at all. Maybe one of you badass knife makers can hook me up with a stainless blade in the style of a bk17
 
Me and the fam. decided to take a couple days and head to Cinncinatti. Took the kids to the newport aquarium and low and behold they must of known I was coming, there was a beer garden right outside the front doors! Life is good!

That pic was just a couple of hrs. ago. So to answer your question. After the dead fish. Were going to the zoo tomarrow so there's a lot of furry animals to take her mind off of her dearly departed fish. As far as the next pet, we'll play it by ear but turtles have been mentioned. Does anybody know anything about them as far as pets?
 
I know turtles are pretty nasty if you dont clean the aquarium often enough. I had two when i was 10 or sp.. My daughter also had a goldfish that just wouldnt die, of course my rules vary as my kids are responsible to clean their own cages otherwise no pet.. Which brings me to my sons rats, anyone want two fancy rats??
 
Anyone have a good method to rid a house of chipmunks? They're digging through the garage walls at my mother-in-law's house an might be getting into the basement now.

Get a small size havahart trap, bait it with peanut butter and a couple peanuts stuck in the peanut butter. It makes the .22lr solution easier (less spot and stalk time), or if you're trying to turn over a new leaf ;) you could take them with you on your next camping trip...what you do with them once they're in your trap is up to you...:)
