511 Rush 12 or 24? I can't decide. I'll be taking it with me to work every night and in it I'll be taking a change of clothes, a few simple handtools, laptop, chargers, couple knives, ipod, small first aid kit, gloves, and a few other things. I'm using a cheapo from wally world right now and its falling apart.

Rush 24, hands down. I use it for everything. It's a great pack.

You have a G26...that should be all you ever need for a hideout gun.

I do like the NAA Mini Revolvers though, Ive shot my uncle's quite a bit, fun gun.

TBilly - small revolvers all day, every day! Ruger sp101 - a friendly smith lightened the trigger pull & removed the hammer. Carries nicely in the front pants pocket and is very very accurate. 3" 5 shot groups at 25 yds. Oh he'll ya!!!

I'm on the fence for a new pocket gun, considering the NAA .22mag.. any suggestions??

I like the Ruger LCR. If you haven't hefted one you won't believe how light it is. I look at it laying in my hand and my eyes can't believe there is a gun there. So it has nasty recoil, right? Hardly. Something about the polymer frame that absorbs most of the recoil. Try it, you'll like it. Get the ,357 version and you can use mild .38's for play and save the +P's for the serious stuff. .38's are probably cheaper to shoot than the .22 mags!

Guyon
Never handled a Yugo. I've had Chinese and Russian. Got rid of the Chinese. Still have the Russians. Local shop has some Yugo's. May have to take a closer look

Which shop has them Balding? Sportsmans Loft? I'm feeling the need to buy something that goes bang again, but not sure what I want yet. Mebbe I shouuld just buy more reloading supplies.

Yep, the Loft. Haven't been there for quite a while. But they did have them. I tend to spend way too much money when I walk through those doors. Gun shops and Harley shops..they will be the death of me.

if y'all have SKS i hope y'all got the firing pin fix.

or else :)

still wanting a nice YUGO or two. one day.

got two very fine Mosins though, including one of the M39s. need an M44. and M65 :)

one day, more things... no hurry.

I'm off Brown's for a while. Blood work came back with cholesterol through the roof. Damned Brown's Diner.
If you show up though, I'd come over and watch you eat one. I'd supply the beers and tears. You could eat the cheeseburger. Sort of a country song/Jimmy Buffet dynamic....

so, funny thing is: dietary fat has nothing to do with blood fat/cholesterol.

sugar does though. your body MAKES the cholesterol in your blood...

so. eat more meat. less to no carbs.

have a glass of red wine now and then.

partay!

My oldest brother bought an sks at a gun show. The first time he shot it he loaded a full magazine, pulled the trigger once and it shot once, he pulled the trigger again and it shot half a dozen rounds. He got rid of it shortly after that.

Preeeeetty much. Else our fat cells would be pork fat. But they're human fat.
Fat takes a lot more processing to be usable or storable. An overabundance of cheap carbs signal the body to STORE IT UP!!! So those are actually cocacola and wonder bread fat cells. ;)

Whole grains (unrefined carbs), lots of veggies (love the crunch), SPICES - very good for you, and sensible protein balance. yep. Not necessarily in that order.

Drinking soda is like chugging a bottle full of diabetes.

they call that "user error" :)

i'm told "never, ever load one of those at home (unless you got the pin fix)... you might get undesired results"!

A younger friend has a friend on facebook that uploaded the following picture, labelled: "Don't f*ck with me."

So I took the next following picture to make fun of him and she posted it to him.

I remember when you could buy Russian SKS's for $80 too.
I've had several arguments with know-it-alls behind the counter about this... seems no one remembers them being WAY under $100..

One gun is like just having one knife:D

I have a .22 rifle like this though the guns not very old I've had it since I was little, shhhhh it does the same thing, and I like it !!!! (although for legal purposes I intend to to have the firing pin replaced)

Isn't that MORE of a reason to stay away from said edge? Hmm, well, it is the internet, so...PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN :P
Pics tomorrow, crappy lighting in here, also have to pick up some batteries.
Battle Creek Knives: I should have clarified, the fact that it is extremely sharp makes the cuts deeper.:o
