pifffft! Just got done with the longest phone conversation of my life with Dexwithers, great guy.......

In other news! I have an ESEE 4 on the way as a stand-in for my 16, hope it will do! I'll have to replace it sometime but I thought I'd expand my collection a bit.

So, today I got irradiated by the BJC Hospital system, care of Nuclear Medicine. Then I pulled into Plaza Tire when I started hearing the noise again today in Angel, and I didn't turn the car off so they could hear it, they drove it onto the rack and were checking it out, when they brought it down Reverse was gone, so they tried putting it into drive and drive it across the shop, it wouldn't go forward either, so we pushed it out of the shop and called Aamco, they took a look at it, first is in pieces in the pan. I'm taking it tomorrow (via AAA tow) to another shop, they are charging $1500 to rebuild it where Aamco was gonna charge me $2450.

I was going to look at a fairly nice trail blazer today (found it on craigslist for a good price) On the cl add, the location listed was a fairly good suburb just north of me. The address the lady gave me over the phone was in a completly different, very shady part of town. After driving up near the address I got a really bad feeling in my gut, especially with the gang bangers and hookers on the street corners. I quickly got out of their.

Sorry to hear about your car, C-bear, are you paying out of pocket?

Well, here you go, some of you will find humor in this but I'm so freakin mad I could chew nails in two. I'm STILL looking for a AFFORDABLE alternative for family health insurance. The plan is to quit my job and go self employed. So far I have found nothing less than a 1,000 bucks a month and that doesnt cover a Damn thing until you get a $5000. individual deductable and $7500. family deductable paid. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!

I've talked to a couple of dozen so called "Liecensed" agents and some of them have just been downright rude. Well the last one I just got off the phone with just breeched a new level of a$$hole. I called and told him my situation and asked for a quote, get this, he just laughed at me and hung up the phone. How is this acceptable, WTF, is going on that insurance companies became these... Gods that they think they are. Im so pissed I could scream.

I didn't vote for him....

Doc

Did they tell you to go to Oak Lawn? Yeah I'm paying out of pocket and if the shop says "yeah it's the damn pothole's fault" Insurance will reimburse.

My first thread on the ESEE forum got locked and two members banned........I'll stick to known ground here Thank you very much.

Dubz, send me your address, I'll let you use my Esee LS for the summer, really let you pound on it and see how it fits your big ole mitts.

Haha, saw that.

Appreciate the offer man, but I can tell it's gonna be too small. My hand hangs off the end of my ESEE 3, and it has the same handle as the 4 does. Those side by side photos of the 4 and LS let me know right off.

No, South holland . I was looking at a golf GTI in oak lawn though. The pictures didn't show the rust that was all over the car or the check engine light (due to what I can safely assume was a blown head gasket), It was super clean other then that though.

Read through the thread. Wasn't anything you did or caused. Just a case of 2 "south ends of north bound mules" finally showing their true colors one too many times and receiving their just rewards.

Id really like a pocket clip on the sheath of my Daizee dashi.

Anyone ever used one of the tandy pocket clips?

I see they have a single screw hole in them, but what size is the hole? Anywhere near the size of the kydex eyelets?... Im wondering if maybe i could rig one up for the kydex it came with......

I tried just bending some hard wire... but it neither looked nice or worked well.

I use Tandy clips all the time when making belt/boot sheaths.

Here's ALL the spring clips Tandy sells

The three I tend to use the most are

I'll have to measure the holes tomorrow when I go back out to the shop.

Thanks bud that would be a big help. If you could let me know if the holes are the same size on the different ones you got id appreciate that as well.

Im looking at the small one, it says it 2 3/4" which is about the same size as the kydex. Id like to be able to put it on my belt as long as i could keep it slim like it is. But even the pocket is fine.

I have been carrying it since i got it, i use it a BUNCH, but when im pulling it out my pocket the bottle opener catches in my pocket quite frequently. I poked a hole in one pair of jeans already lol, so id like to setup some type of clip.

I mean i guess I could send it off for a custom kydex sheath with a belt clip... but if i can just rig up a clip to work id rather that of course.

Thanks again bud

Try the Nite-Ize clip too

I did look at some of those, but the ones i looked at had like sticky tape on the back... Im worried id go to grab the dashi one day and notice the tape wore off and the dashi is gone.

Also, my idea is, and i may not be thinking it out right, but if i could find a pocket clip that would fit one eyelet, i could put the clip on the width of the kydex instead of vertical with the sheath, that way i could clip it to my belt or top of my pants and it would sit horizontal.

Does that make sense?

If you wanna wear it horizontal instead of vertical just grab a strip of webbing, wrap it around the sheath and screw a chicago screw into the eyelet.
