I love the looks of this thing. I like old timey looking blades:

Yup, thats a nice one!!

I like the idea of the leather on the handle, if that is indeed what im seeing.

Looks like ash or oak for the wood part. That knife is old-timey in a sort of steampunk style IMO, even the colors...that is a really appealing blade.....

Ever notice that women will watch the clerk ring up all their groceries, wait for the clerk to tell them the total and THEN start fishing out the checkbook, then fill out their check register with a paragraph of explanation followed by re-pursing and various adjustments before they leave half their shit on the counter?

I only ever see older folks writing checks and they take forever. Most of the time they already have the book out but they won't start writing it until they get the total. Then when they get to the amount they have to ask what it was and are in shock with how much stuff costs and whatever.

Another thing that annoys me (aside from stores NEVER EVER having enough checkstands open. EVER.) is when I pay for something in cash and the clerk hands (or tires to) me the change-bills and coins- plus the receipt all in one handfull when every single person puts those three things in three different places and now I have to hold up the line sorting out the whole mess.

what do you gamers recommend, an xbox or ps3??

yeah I'm in the dark ages with a wii, the kids have been wanting an xbox... yeah they're abused so it seems everyone in their class has an xbox..

PS3 all the way. I've had way fewer problems with my PS3 that I got used at a pawn shop than with my 360 that I bought new. Also the PS online network is free and the 360 network costs money if you want to do anything worthwhile.

But the next-gen consoles are coming out soon. Again, sony is the way to go with the PS4. Microsoft is putting all kinds of "features" into the xbox one that basically just screw over the end user.

Yep, PS3 gets my vote too. Majority of my friends have the 360 but ehhh...The PlayStation has way better games too, like the Uncharted series.

PS3 is better hardware, but for gaming, I prefer the Xbox, if only because the PS controls are awful. They're still using the same basic design back before the analog sticks became the main movement control, and they're hideously uncomfortable for any extended gameplay.

I was playing a game that used the Sixaxis controls, I couldn't make that work in my brain. As soon as I got rid of the sixaxis aspect I was able to play the game, really well actually, was sniping with a flying shield.

Here were the specs:

A nice size hunter with grainy ash scales. Rawhide and cord ferrule with brass pins. 8 1/2" overall.(not including lanyard)- Beautiful file work on the spine. Forged lanyard. Hammer and forge marks.

Good lord Dubz. PM me who, what, where please.
She's a beaut, isn't she. It shows it's sold, but I'll PM ya. They have a lot of sweet looking blades and hawks.

At first I was like "So it's a tent I have to tow?" Then I saw the rest of the video. Makes sense, kinda cool. Not for me but I can see the interest for something like that.

That's nearly 3x what I paid for the most expensive truck I've ever owned. My '93 S10 cost me $1700 and hauls everything I need and I just throw a tarp over the bed and sleep there.

I don't have a wife and a family so I like to be minimalist when I go camping. If I ever have a family hopefully they'll be foolhardy enough to really rough it with me. Probably not though. I still ain't buying some big fancy apartment size "camping" trailer. That's not camping and they are too much hassle.

well, for the urban/city person who doesn't have a a "real trailer", that could be fun. plus, it's all small, so the wife unit doesn't complain it's taking up the yard space that nobody was using anyway. pfft, who cares about a compost heap? :D

i don't like to rough it. that seems silly when for a little more effort you can ease it.
