It was interesting! Tomorrow's class got cancelled/postponed. So, I still get paid for tomorrow, and I can pick up any work that comes around! But I have to wait for next week for the rest of the classes. I'm now certified in restraining people... If I have a team, that have taken the same training as me. Blegh! However the also taught us the "illegal restraints" so we "make sure we don't do them"... YEAHHHHHH!!!! Sure... I won't!
I grew up in Judo/Jujitsu and later in life began study of Aikido, It could be said that I am well certified in restraining people as well ;) lol

I also was a CNA, so I know what you're doing with the AED, BLS for HCP stuff as well.. it all sounds pretty fun cbear, good life skills :)

I used to work at an ER as a Sec/Tech so I have had this training already however it was 12 years ago. My memory retention isn't that good so I was all kinds of lost. I got it picked up pretty quick though.

Gosh darn it. I thought I had settled on what I was going to do to the blazer. Nothing crazy, just enough to make it look cooler and help get around in the wilds. Then I saw a CL add for a dana 44 and 12 bolt axles for $350, a direct bolt-in swap and stronger than what I have (GM used to put them in the 1/2 ton 4x4's and they even came out of a '79 K5). And it got me thinking... Add to that that I was looking at the truck again today and 31"s are just too small, they don't look good on the rig. 33"s would be about right. I guess I don't need to swap axles for 33"s, even if I put in lockers. Still, if I'm going to go through the trouble of gears and at least a rear locker.

I went from just a 2" lift and keeping my 31"s and leaving the axles alone to 33"s, 3.73:1, and at least a rear locker if not a front too. I had an F150 with a factory limited slip rear diff. What a difference that makes even with the crappy highway treads I had on it. Maybe I'll leave the ratios alone and drop a posi in the rear and buy a serious off road-er project before I get crazy with the blazer.

This is already getting out of hand...

I've been wanting to get into bow hunting for a long time. Just haven't ever forked over the cash to get setup and get a good bow. The sport is really spendy to get into once you buy everything.

I've got an old Bear brand recurve, with a mounted quiver, and counter balance weight. Bought it at a garage sale for $10 probably around 20 years ago. Got a new string for it a few years ago, and never shot it. I actually gave it to my brother years ago, then he gave it back to me after he got his compound.

I hear that. Try being left-eye-dominant with a stupid-long draw. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of entry-level or used stuff out there for a guy like me :(

I just plan to target shoot really for now, maybe hunt eventually though. And yea I had no idea the arrows were so expensive. I just found 6 cheap aluminum arrows for 40 bucks ready to shoot out the box. Those are the cheap ones!!

That bow is 140 bucks before shipping, I got a package deal that cost like 195 shipped with quiver, string, stringer, silencers and maybe something else i dont remember. But Its a good deal i think. I searched the internet long and hard before i decided on a bow. Looks like i picked the perfect one too, according to some guys on a archery forum anyway. This is the Samick sage, a mid priced bow with absolutely GREAT reviews.

But I figured at first the price would only hurt once, and i though arrows would be cheap. Im wrong a lot.

This Bowtech General used to be mine to, but sold it, as I needed the funds:

Compounds just have to much going on for me. I like the traditional bows a lot more. especially the looks.

I have read the benefits and draw backs of compound vs traditional and if i was hunting mostly, id eventually get a compound maybe but target shooting and the occasional hunt, I think a recurve would be much better suited for me.

That was my original intent as well, a recurve. Then I thought the compounds were kinda cool. Bought it, and a week later needed money, and had to sell it.

Has the USPS tracking website been down for everyone else? I havent been able to use it for days.

I can track them from other sites, just not USPS track and confirm site.
