It needs accessories. This accessory is called "Fun with Scraps".
I was tweaking the birudashi opener geometry a bit on a piece of 1084 scrap. Well.... then it needed heat treat *of course*, and a handle...

Nice work on that daizee. You thinking about adding that to your lineup?

Thx, GML.
Naw, that's just playin' with extras. It seems like a lot of work just to open a beer bottle and not to cut anything.
Who would want a $50 bottle opener? (hmm, maybe that's an actual question to be asked)

Speaking of beer, did you know there are at least 6 beers considered WORSE than Bud Select 55?

Has anyone here ever got their sciatic nerve pinched in their pelvis? Holy crap this hurts. I had an MRI a few days ago and will be back at the doc next week to find out what the hell is going on. I sure would like to hear if anyone has recovered without surgery. I have had a crushed vertebrae and 3 herniated discs for the last 19 years and that pain is nothing compared to this. My leg feels like its in a vice. Breaking my leg 3 years ago hurt less than this.

Ouch, that sounds painfull, hope you get healed up man, I don't know if it has anything to do with your situation. But I started having terrible pains in my legs a few years ago. Make a extremely long story short. I went to a chirophractor and he did wonders.

No kidding. for $20 I could drink enough booze on land to feel seasick without the risk of falling in the pool.
You must be some kind of lightweight! 20 bucks won't buy you any decent vodka, let alone anything stronger in any amounts to do any kind of damage!

Aye, Matey.

I'd be feelin' the deck move at 2 modest glasses of the Buffalo Trace downstairs. (I'm in the house - the living room 'deck' should not move. just to be clear.)

$50 dollar bottle opener is not unreasonable out here.

You and me both. I'm not a drinker, and when I decide to, it doesn't take much to get me half lit.

While I was away at the cabin for the weekend, my wife decided to go to a massive flea market. Usually, she'll come back with stuff for her and my son, but this time she scored something for me! 1946 "wartime" edition of Joy of Cooking.

it's a great money-saving strategy. Makes me drink one or *maybe* two quality beers and give up before the tab gets out of control or my mouth writes a check that my metabolism (or liver) can't cash.

Ack on the vodka........ I couldn't stand a $100 bottle after the incident I had with it in my younger years. You can get a bottle of George Dickle for $20 and its pretty good stuff.

Haha, I hear that. We mainly drink wine, but not too often. We mostly keep it on hand for my fil.

I'm really loving my new BK10. Sitting here watching F1 and tossing it around :)

I believe that for around $20 I could buy 6 bottles of Boones Farm Wine.

Not on my list of choice but I'd have to believe that 6 bottles of anything will do the trick

I should have gotten a 10 instead of a 2.

Idk why but the two just isn't my cup of tea.

Anyone around her wanns trade a 1st gen kabar 2 for a 10 or 16; or do temporary swap to see how each blade fills our needs?

You know that you live in a capitalist country when people are will willing to pay $20 for a novelty wrench shaped can opener at a certain mall chain store known for both clothes and tools..

I say go for it.

Pretty dammed cool! I wonder if it has tweaked recipes due to the rationing?
