I've got this C3 knife coming in the mail.
Does anyone know what kind of wood this is? Looks nice, I'm just not familiar with different woods.

Sure looks like burl maple finished with a boiled linseed oil to me. I'm not 100% but id be willing to bet on it.

My new flashlight, Its pretty bright for being so little. Its a streamlight nano, and willydigger made the bead. I like it!!

I had a Nano, but replaced it with a Olight Ios3, try one and you wont regret it.

I dont know what model the ios3 is... but thats comparing apples and oranges, This wont replace my fenix E11 but for 6 bucks and a little more than an inch its a nice little light.

And I wouldnt have an awesome bead necklace with the Olight, but I know Olight makes some good flashlights, this is just on a cheaper scale... Still very nice for its size I think.
But i dont like the battery option. The only flashlights I ever buy use AA or AAA, Mostly AA. I got this because of the cool bead LMAO. The light is smaller and lighter than I imagined though even for its size its like holding air LMAO.

Excellent news today concerning my daughter. The MRI came back negative for and stress fractures in the spine and negative for any kind of cancerous tumors. Doc said that the MRI would tell him 99% of what he needs to know, and that a blood test and bone scan will tell us the other 1%. So, we did the blood test today and scheduled the bone scan for Tuesday. But the great news is Doc is confident no stress fractures and more importantly no evidence of cancer. Yeah! I'm a happy Dad tonight. Still something going on, but great to have the most scary things ruled out!

It looks pretty cool, I just watched a video on the river store and the thing is neat!!!

Always hard deciding which steel to take on a hike. We only use them to cut up food on these small hikes. I always take a Becker, to post photos here, but then I never really get a chance to use some of the others I have. I guess I can takes turns on cutting up the cheese and summer sausage using different knives, haha. I'm taking a 14, ESEE Candiru, and a Hunt Hornet, and Vic Camper that are always with me. I had the ESEE 3 in my pack too, but wanted to reduce the weight, so I took that, and some other stuff out. Looking forward to hitting the trails tomorrow, and Friday.

Todd that is excellent news! I was hoping it wasn't anything serious for your family sake. There was a doctor who I like working with, her saying is this "We practice medicine. We might not be able to tell you what it is going on, but we can tell you if it is something serious. If we can tell you, it is good!"

Dubz, lately I've carried my 11 around my neck and my Esee-3 on my hip.
