Yah I will probably "broomstick" it over time, I already knocked off the sharp corners and smoothed it up a bit. But yah... I am definitely going to be on the hunt for more old Old Hickory and plain high carbon. I have some older blades that are that way and they are just phenomenal edge... Love carbon in the kitchen too.

Aggressive corner rounding makes a substantial difference. I did that to a chicago cutlery 8" chef's knife and suddenly it felt *awesome*.

ya I've had some bounce backs with the scout but I am behind a corner of my house, when it bounces back it hits the down spout.

I was talking about the amazing race one.
I saw that last night and was pretty shocked the first time I watched it. Then I checked the comments section and a lot of people were calling it fake so I went back and watched it again and I think I agree with them. The bleeding head injury looks pretty real but this guy knows some awesome makeup and special effects guys. And just some other stuff I noticed when I watched it a little closer without the initial shock makes me think he was playing a joke.

If its fake, he is an excellent actor, he never paused before the shot, if he was expecting it he would have prepared himself, but he said now the champagne and shot just like the other shots he took without any hesitation. Then he sounded like he was in real pain.
