Had a pretty good find at the local flea market today. This is after the clean up, sharpening, and handle shaping. Fun quick little project. The thing is a laser beam.
Yeah, plain jane carbon steel is still so delightful to sharpen and use.
Now put some shape in that handle!

Yah I will probably "broomstick" it over time, I already knocked off the sharp corners and smoothed it up a bit. But yah... I am definitely going to be on the hunt for more old Old Hickory and plain high carbon. I have some older blades that are that way and they are just phenomenal edge... Love carbon in the kitchen too.

holy sh!t, this is the sligshot guy, he makes some crazy slings, this video he uses 20mm balls, man he does a number to himself... forward to 1:20 for some head shot action!!
