Just made a PVC pipe sheath for my "Doc chopper". This will do until I can get a kydex made by one of our fine sheath makers.

Tom Clancy passed yesterday! How am I just hearing about this now?! That's sad I loved reading his books. I think I have (or have had) all of them! I know I've at least read them!

Heck that looks plenty good and I bet does a fine job of holding that thing (it is a pretty darn massive knife). How do you have that part on the back there attached? The belt loop bit that has the cordage and carabiner run through it I mean. It looks like a smaller diameter piece of pvc made into a belt loop. Or was it a tab that got bent over?

It's just a bent over tab. It's crude as hell but so am I. :D
 
Hell it works, and I bet it works really well. I've contemplated the pvc sheath as a solution to not having to try my hand at kydex for larger knives. My last few attempts have been less than "stellar".

And after having watched that video it looks like you are a man not be trifled with whilst in possession of a spud gun. That is absolutely nuts!

Got the upper cabinets installed in the kitchen last night. Seems so strange.
 
Called E a little while ago and he was making slaw at a friend's house. The man never stops making good food.
