Your nut sack is looking pretty sad tonight.

He should probably think about switching to side saddle.

Agreed. You need to go Lance Armstrong on those nut sacks.

Note to self: Never drink a 4 oz. martini before running two miles.

There's a (kinda) local 10k that's for Clydesdales only that requires imbibement of malt beverages and hot dogs during the race - soft drinks are allowed as substitutions, but then there goes all the fun of an officially sanctioned drinking/sporting event. I think they're all professionals, tho. For two miles, I think the dosage is a 3 oz. martini. But you gotta experiment to find out what works best for you.

I just ate fried yuca and plantains, drank sangria, rum punch, and beer, and walked 1/4mi back to the pier. and didn't fall in! What did I win?

So I had leave scheduled for tonight but it got canceled because of the shutdown. So now they have to pay me more than if I was off, because if I wasn't here then I wouldn't be essential. Or some such nonsense. At least I'm still working, though I'm not positive if I'm still getting paid on time or if they're going to hold my pay until the budget gets sorted out. I got some savings so I should be alright. Certainly in a better spot than a lot of people.

As an "uneducated interpreter" it is HUGHLY intimidating to be the voice of a master level educated professional talking to a room of masters and Doctorate level professionals!

About done with another bush dao, with my own handle design, bocote scales, brass guard, made from Aldo's CPM 3V, treated to 60 RC using Dan Keffeler's formula by Peters. This one has a bit more metal behind the edge, and is 3V instead of 5160, so hopefully it will hold up a bit better on rougher chopping than the Becker bush sword y'all tested for me.

looks good -- how's the balance?
Bush sword felt pretty good in hand.

he's the pseudo-intellectual nutn fancy wants to be when he grows up.

Haha. I read a bit from his forum the other day for the very first time.
All I can say is wow...that guy is....well...hmm.

yup - he thinks circular sawblades have a directional linear grain structure and that's why knife blades made from them might break.

Balance is 1.125" up from the guard, and 2.5" up from the pointer finger, so a bit more balanced than the bush sword, which was pretty forward balanced. It's thinner stock as well by a 16th of an inch, so it's a bit lighter.
