The "what folders do you guys carry" thread, which has posts and photos about knives other than Survive! Knives.
This being the Survive! Knives "Manufacturers Forum"... should really be relating to and discussing the Manufacturers product, that being Survive! Knives.

While it may be interesting to some to know/see what types of folders made by various different companies are carried by Survive! Knives owners, it probably is a subject best started in the main forum as opposed to within the Survive! Knives "Manufacturers Forum".

Again, jus' say'in.

Jeeze! This thread is all over the place

My intent with the Folders thread was to see what folders Survive! Knives owners carry, since S!K doesnt make folders... Yet
 
Having thought on this for a while... The issue is that we have no moderators other than Guy and Ellie. If there was going to be a number assigned to each of us, then there should be a locked thread that has the list. I know Guy and Ellie do not have the time to monitor that. Let me think on it more... I might have a solution.
 
It is not so much that Guy or Ellie has to be in charge of it they should just ok it and then someone takes responsibility for managing it. The thread does not need to be locked just stickied at the top of the page so new people can request to join and the OP of the thread can amend the list as it goes.
The other thing is, does there need to be criteria for membership? Like a post count in the forum or at least ownership of a Survive! product

I quoted myself to get my previous thoughts on the 3rd page. As much as I wanted the prestige of having a single digit number I still like the idea of Guy getting to assign some numbers to people like employees or others on a personal level.

RUNIT, what were parameters for getting the other member numbers you hold?

If Guy simply gives us a "yes", Riz would you want to take on verifying members? I could help. Really all a mod would have to do is make a sticky for us, right?

The parameters were different for both. To be a Scrapyard Junk Yard Dog you have to have 1000 post on the Scrapyard website forum. The JK knives supporter is more like how this should be where you just ask and receive.
I know the Beckerheads require quite a few goals like posts and starting topics on their subforum.
Maybe here just something like 10 posts and a pic your knife? Post are easy to verify on profile pages.
I am more than willing to help out as well.

Yes I do believe a mod can make any thread a sticky, I would be fine with starting the thread and handling it if you would like.
 
I was thinking a post with a pic of your Survive! knife and a simple "I'm in" would do it. I can create member list thread and just edit the names in the first page. We dont even really need numbers, but could do it easily.
 
So between Riz, RUNIT and myself I think we have a good start to make this happen. I like the idea of needing a certain number of posts to show involvement in our subforum to get an official number. Is 10 enough? What about 25, too many?
 
I am definitely in as well, though i'll need to post more to get my cred up haha. As a younger company i think having the extra exposure could only help (not that they are having any trouble moving product!)

The more posts in the forum the better! 25 seems good. Should probably get the ok from the bosses and then start a new thread to make the list and get it stickied.
Is there going to be a name? I am not set on Survivors, maybe just being a Survive! Supporter is good.
Suggestions are welcome!

25 posts, pic of S! blade that you own (or at least proof you ordered something from the starter) and of course get permission and input from Guy or Ellie.

This is all pretty new to me, but is there any conflict of interest with random forum members running this? Like we said, this should not be a hassle for Guy or Ellie, but we really don't have a moderator involved. I could be over thinking this.

Personally I thought survivor was a really logical and easy title to have, but I'm open minded. I'd want something that will flow. SURVIVOR! #13 sounds good to me, but OFFICIAL SURVIVE! FAN BOY #13 doesn't have the same feel.

I guess I better get to posting! I barely missed the 4.1 preorder, but I've owned one for a while. I just don't have a lot to contribute nor time to get on here much.
