Me again. I must be missing this bit of detail - repeatedly - because I can't find the info on the sheaths for these. Will they come with one or do we have to order one from JRE seperately? If they come with one, I hope it's the one on the lower part of this picture:

And for the record, I will getting a standard sheath from JRE - probably only two styles to choose from. Price is not set yet, but expect them to be very similar to what we saw in the passaround.

That said, I will gladly send a knife to any sheathmakers interested in getting in on the action....just that JRE is the official sheathmaker for the run...and the only ones I plan on stocking for the BushMaster.

Also, Dan... I just thought of something. Will brass Corbys and lanyard tubes be standard on the Elite option? If not, I'd like to request brass for mine.

I'll definitely consider it....costs more and is a bit of a pain to work with...but I agree, it does look better.





Here are some updates:


I am waiting for the rest of the steel to be ready. As of today, they are telling me it will be done on the 19th of Nov. Then it gets cut and sent to me. Then everything goes to the CNC company - about 3 weeks turnaround. After it comes back to me...I've got blade finish work, glue-up, handle shaping and finishing to do...probably about 4 weeks worth of time. So, I am expecting these to be ready toward the end of January.



And I will keep this list open until the end of November (I do plan on making extras)

Dan, sounds good - thanks for the timeline!

Would you do us a favor and post before you mail them out?

I'll be in and out of the house around then, so I just want to make sure I'll have a buddy on the lookout for a package ahead of time...

Any way to get this knife (3V) finished blade only w/heat treat? I would like to put my own handles on it...
