As long as the thumb ramp works well with a firesteel.

I was skeptical for the first bushcraft, but it actually helps a lot with firesteel.

Thank you for allowing me in on this purchase,Payment Sent by Pay Pal.

Dan.....Is it too late to get in on this offer? I'd like to order an Elite. I'm new to BladeForums, and I just came across this thread....I've been researching fixed blades, and I'm very impressed with your design. Thanks in advance.

not too late - email me the info as laid out in the first post.

The crowd has spoken and I am reviewing an alternative to jimping....going to try slotting it like the thumbgrooves I put in...but they'll be a little wider. 1/32" wide, 1/32" apart and 1/32" deep.

Here's a pic:

I will still need to wait and see what the cnc guys can do....but my intention is to make the area capable of striking a firesteel as well as act as a thumb-stop...yet be far enough away to allow for a comfortable grip while whittling/etc.

Dan

I really like this idea better than the other jimping look. Fire steel functional and a good thumb rest. Bring it!

David - no. that's done with a checkering tool by hand. I need this done by CNC...and the biggest difference will be that they'll be "U" grooves instead of "V" grooves.

ombrapelone - sure thing - just forward the info.

Thanks!

Dan
