Official RBK Picture Thread - Post Your BK21 Shots Here

Need to build some of those old style sheaths. Going to need to rummage through storage this weekend. I know I have a couple in there somewhere. Who is doing the first old vs new chop off? I'm really curious how it does.

when i have the chance, y'all gunna hate the picture i post :D

well, i have original Reinharts (japan), Blackjacks, and well, i spend my own money...

i still consider myself a khukri guy in many ways. i have various "bonecutters" and others, that i consider the most superior choppers of all time.

it might require someone holding a camera, and a few takes, or at least stills, but i might have free time soon.

and ... i'll be honest in my findings. number of chops. force used. etc.

thus far i've always found true distal profiles to be better choppers (ie: thicker spines, tapering to concave edges), and the new generation of bonecutters i have are scary good. scary.

KLOs tend to have thin spines and are fast and whippy. takes good technique and speed to get the same casual effort from something more traditional, but that's just my opinion.

testing soon.

evil pictures soon...

procserv

OH YEAH , I just got mine .

Sweet. If the 9 is the King, this thing is the freakin' Emperor. :D

the nine was never king

mere pretender to the iron throne

my favorite original series BK4s are the king, and the BK2 the queen

period :D

I used both models when Ethan brought one out to Beckerhead West. The new Kabar model is slightly thicker and while the original Blackjack was no slouch, I prefer the new version and so did most others who handled both. I was sure impressed with how well the Kabar BK21 held it's edge. It had seen quite a few test cuts before we got to play with it and it was in almost constant use around camp all weekend and I checked the edge on Sunday and it was still super sharp.

I'd like to see a hard plastic/thermoplastic sheath for her, with the optional tie down points/grommet holes, and a mil/spec snap on the grip. I'd pay the extra ~$10 that it'd tack on to the street price, heck of a lot cheaper than a custom rig.

As of right now, there's only two vids of this beast on YouTube, one 17 seconds of Kabar lightsabering a 2x4 with it😆, the other of Ethan using a scale drawing/schematic and talking about the genius of H. Reinhardt, and how it's the "scariest knife" he's handled.
I'm hoping someone throws up some vids on YT using their 21, for my-sorry, OUR viewing pleasure. ;)
