It may be better looking to some, but believe me, the RBK outchops the Brute by a mile.

The original series Machax out chopped the Brute too, imho, but I'm biased having owned them all.

Brute looks cool but was too clumsy for me, so I stopped using it.

Can't wait to order mine as soon as some funds I'm expecting land..... anyone convex their RBK yet? Would love to see a pic & review of a fisked/convexed RBK.

Did you get this from a Canadian dealer or did you order it from the U.S.?

We were visiting Ethan and picked it up when we were down there. Should be home by Thursday. Maybe we should get together and you can check it out in person. We recently moved to Hamilton.

Got my BK21 late this afternoon. (Thanks Dex!)

Whew, it's a big one! Weighs 5.5oz heavier than my BK9 and RBK (22.5oz vs 17oz). It's thicker than my RBK (5mm vs 3.5mm) but not nearly as nimble.

Here's my 'Big BK' family ... RBK, BK21, BK4, BK9, BK1

My BK5 is sulking in the corner ... But I'm a big BK too! :(

Just got mine from Dex. Immediately started clearing dead brush and small limbs from an old pine tree in my backyard. Dang, that thing really works, my bk4 just bounced off the same tree. Me likee a lot so far.

My wife said upgrade the sheath. I chose well.

The alien cucumber invasion brought with it a terrible price. :moon:
Mercifully, we triumphed by our superior tactics, and being equipped with the newly forged RBK. :saturn:

No other vegetables were harmed in the making of this post.
RBK supplied by Coyle Outddoors.

Sounds good. Gimme a shout when you get a chance - primitive at cogeco dot ca

Got mine from Dex today. Got home way after dark so no use or pics tonight. Tomorrow morning, I'll have to see if the ground is dry enough to get to the Giant Ragweed and Georgia Cane patches down in the pasture. Just had nearly 8 inches of rain and the Houston clay gumbo we have around here will suck your toenails off when it's gooey/soupy.

Pics to be provided later. :D

To me, that hexcam pattern doesn't look like snakeskin. My first thought was that it looks like the "terrain" on hex-printed boards for some of the old dice based war games of the 70s and 80s, before they were killed off by computer games. Still a nice pattern, just doesn't say "snake" to me. The third one from the left looks like a gray snakeskin to me, though.

Thanks, Dex!!
(the mailpeople accidentally put the parcel box key in the adjacent PO box, which delayed delivery a day... no harm, no foul.)

I have to say, this was the least-sharp Ka-bar I've received in the last couple years, but that was quickly remedied with a hand stone. Also, the text on the Ka-bar site says 0.2" thick, but the specs below say 0.188, which is 3/16". In-hand it looks like 3/16", but my mics are all at the shop. Maybe the housemate has one.

She big.
I like.

Nice looking blade, thinking in add one of those to my becker's collection

Mine came in from Dex. I really like the RBK, but I think it does need some improvements out of the box. While mine came sharp and would shave hair easily the edge is very thick behind the bevel. It needs a serious thinning out of the edge with a good convexing. The open spine factory sheath is adequate I think I need to try and work it in a little bit so the knife is easier to insert and remove.
This blade is almost scary to swing around. It makes you very aware that you could easily take off an arm with it. It is respect inspiring.
